Would have liked to see them start the game at puck drop, only had it on in the background but the shots were slanted in Utica's favor heavily in the first.

They didn’t score on it but Kulich just had another one of those absolutely dominant shifts. Stripped a puck defensively and gained the zone more than once on the shift…making smart passes for quality looks.

Thought for sure Rosen scored right before that. Fooled me and everyone in the building too.

Tyce looking a little like Pete Puma after that one.

Kozak was giving up 9 lbs, 2 inches, 3 years, and destroyed him.

It's rare to see a Sabre win a so cleanly these days.

Whatever set that off, Kozak was ANGRY. Not sure which of the uppercuts gave Tyce the double black eye or the welt on his forehead, but I haven't seen a beating administered by a Sabre/Sabre prospect in years. Cederqvist's win was nice, this was savage.

A couple of former players in both Weber and Biron have talked about how this is not the normal they experienced. Having a tight bond for guys seems like something that should work in their favor, can't really see how it couldn't.

Also, I'm still mildly impressed that it's normal enough for Jiricek to come up with Kulich to watch Rousek play without there being some sort of silly speculation there.
Jiricek is going to demand a trade to the Sabres
