Davies takes a delay of game penalty by clearing the puck over the glass. It'll be a 5-on-3 for 37 seconds (or less) for Cleveland.

Excellent 5-on-3 kill but still will end out as an advantage for the Monsters if they don't score before the end of the game.

The Monsters got the better goaltending. It's not that Subban was bad, just Greaves stopped some great chances and Subban had the mis-play behind his net that lead to the 2nd Cleveland goal.

And he has a crush on so many of the guys. It was cool to hear about Quinn and company going to the Amerks game the other night.

The screen grab is a few pages back. I thought Clague was on the left but that wasn’t indicated by Weber.

The fact that Quinn wanted to introduce himself to the new guys spoke volumes to me, as well. Some people want to poo poo culture. But, seeing the identity throughout the ownership and the deep ties between the Amerks and Sabres is a great thing and something I don't remember ever happening before.

Maybe we just know about it more in the age of social media and the internet. But, this does feel really different. And different in a really great way.

A couple of former players in both Weber and Biron have talked about how this is not the normal they experienced. Having a tight bond for guys seems like something that should work in their favor, can't really see how it couldn't.

Also, I'm still mildly impressed that it's normal enough for Jiricek to come up with Kulich to watch Rousek play without there being some sort of silly speculation there.

The Czech Mafia needs to start some stuff to get Jiricek over here.

Reactions: Asymmetric Solution
Will they make the AHL finals ?

I mean, anything is possible, but they're having to scrap just to not be in the play-in round (the 4th and 5th place teams in the division play-in via a best of three to advance to face the #1 seed in their division). The Marlies are well out in first and have a 4-4 record against the Amerks so a play-in win and first round series with them is not easy. Similarly, they are 6-4 against Syracuse but have lost three in a row to them with two more yet to go and then they are 4-3 against Utica with three games left. It's really tight in that cluster, with the three teams separated by 1 point right now.
