If he can't find a way to pot one in the biggest game of the season he will really be on the **** list. Time's up, Rick, it has been. Find a way to score a ****ing goal.

i said in another thread, that at this point, Nash is the weak point of this team... for god's sake, Kevin Klein has more goals than him (on both Fleury AND Lundqvist at that! :P )...

I'm hoping Nash does not score and then traded...

Nash made some very nice defensive plays last night. Just not that involved in the offense once again. If we can get past Pittsburgh--one of these nights he is going to score. 0 goals on 51 shots now--he has a good accurate shot--the law of averages says that sooner or later something's going to go in even if he's not going to the net hard enough. We need everyone to play well in the next game--if he gets a goal that helps us win that would be nice.

At least he was hitting again. You forget how big he is when he doesn't hit.

Nothing like trading a guy when his value is high.

I agree it would be the worse misuse of assets, but Sather has a knack for Knee Jerk reactions, and I'm hoping instead of blwoing the TEAM apart to work around this one jackass, he blasts the jackass himself out of town..

Not counting on it though

Is there a gif of Nash slamming Crosby to the ice in that 1st period scrum infront of Hank ? One of my favorite moments of the game

Tuesday night is the perfect night for Nash to score some goals. Hopefully the gamewinner too. That would've been pretty cool.

I saw a much more physically engaged player last night. A good first step. As down as I've been on him, at some point the law of averages has to take hold. He's getting a good look or two each game. One of them will have to go in and game 7 would be the perfect time.

When he didnt clear on that PK, I was livid, as everyone around me was. Im really just done with him, cant stand him at all, sick of his floating shots from the outside as soon as he enters the zone. All that money for nothing. 7.8 hit for a goal scorer who cant score and looks like crap everytime he touches the puck. I cant see him coming out of this. I hope i eat crow, but looks doubtful.

Even when he is moving his feet, Nash looks slow. If it wasn't for the size I wouldn't be able to tell him from Richards.

He also looks weak on the puck.

I've given up trying to figure out what's wrong with him. My final guess is because of the late concussion last year and the one this year that his conditioning is way off.

Maybe Nash simply cant take the playoff pressure. All those years in Columbus he was easily their best player pretty much since he was drafted but they only played 4 playoff games. On the other hand Brassard also spent yaers in Columbus yet he is a big playoff performer

7.8 million. The bar is set so low now that people are happy when he "looks better". Scoring is not needed.

Greeeaaaat....

At this point I'm treating Nash the same as McDonagh before the past two games. Hoping he plays like he can, but trying to look on the bright side that we've gotten this far and we're not even firing on all cylinders. It's all I can do not to go crazy. Nash seems like such a nice guy, and I can tell he's working, I imagine as frustrating as it is for us fans, being a goal scorer all your life and just coming up so empty for so long must be brutal. He's just depressing at this point.

I found myself happy that Nash was showing some sort of pulse last night. Getting in on the forecheck, hitting, making some defensive plays.

So, the fact Im happy that hes giving this team what a 4th liner should be giving shows you how pitiful his performance has been.

Watched a bit of the game and was surprised to see Nash throwing his weight around.

If he would commit to doing stuff like that regularly at least he'd have value when he is slumping offensively. He had a nice steal while forechecking when I was watching as well.

Only a matter of time before some of those shots start going in for him.

Let's see... 8 months ago.
It's currently May, the 5th month of the year.
5 months ago was December.
3 months before December is September.

He's clearly talking about training camp.

Yeah, I'm almost 20 and can't count.

No **** it was training camp, but I don't remember anyone ripping Kreider apart like OP insists.

I did notice taht AV, once again, did not play him as much (or so it seemed) as the other top players on the team:

16 minutes of ice time... that's like 7th in forwards.... LOWEST ice time in the top 9 except Kreider and Hagelin, who played 15 seconds less than him...

I'm glad AV is "punishing" Nash by not putting him on for 20 minutes a night... Hopefully at some point he just becomes a 10 min guy, then a scratch to light a fire under his ass.... I would rather put MSL on Stepan's wing with Kreider, and Put fast or Carcillo back in the lineup... Nash has produced nothing in this series.

At this point it just is what it is. Nash has been exposed as guy who can't handle the situation he's in.

But from my porch it's just useless for me to keep banging my head into a wall. Hopefully we move on and he has a few decent games. Scores a few goals. I just don't expect much from him in the post season. As I've said before, some of us had our reservations right from the beginning.

It's interesting to contrast Nash with Brassard. Two former Jackets headed in two very different directions.

Nash is somewhat engaged, he is playing well defensively and he is hitting but he is still not engaged offensively. He is not using his skill, he is not driving the net, he is not making the smart play. Gotta hope that once he pots one he is going to go on a tear, but who knows due to the fact that this guy lacks heart and compete level
