Woj apparently was on SportsCenter on ESPN, and said that Kawhi was warming up to playing in Toronto and will definitley be reporting.

Sucks for Demar but you can't end the season with 59 wins just to get swept and not expect any changes.
 
Nothing like trading for a player that doesn't want to be here and has a single year left on his contract. And that's before mentioning he was brought in by sending off the best player in the teams history - who was lied to - and a 1st round pick.

Atleast they didn't trade OG, since he's gonna be the guy when this blows up in Ujiris face and the Raptors are forced to fully rebuild.

I'm just a casual Raptors fan but 'best player in team history'? Isn't Carter still considered the best?
 
Great trade for Raps. Probably doesn't get us to the Finals, but gives us a better chance than we did with DD.

Ultimately this team still needs to be torn down to ever win a championship, but this is a good interim one year step. If we get to the Finals, great. If Kawhi sighs long term, great. If he walks, great, we'll start to suck and can draft a real core.

Ujiris first good move as a GM/Prez. I guess even a blind squirrel gets a nut from time to time.

Ujiris great move to add on to the other great noves. I guess even a blind squirrel thinks he is just a sales man or Dubas is just a paper pusher.

didnt you get the memo? Kawhi wants to be here. keep up, this same speech has been said 45 million times today by uneducated fans.
 
With full hindsight, Masai has probably only made two bad moves in his entire tenure here. Carroll and Ibaka. Maybeee Cory Joseph.

I think he deserves the benefit of the doubt.
 
Was this a good deal? Did we get good value and do you guys think it will get us to a final?

Only because he played here longer. With Vince we felt like we could actually win championships.

It's not even debatable who was better. But I'll take DD second.

Because LA has said they will what until summer time
to sign this guy.(Leonard)
 
lol, DeMar is not the best player in franchise history. Come on now. Lowry has always been better than him, but he seems to destined to be underappreciated forever.

Joseph was a sensible move at the time that simply didn't fit once the salary structure shifted in ways that weren't expected when the signing was made.

He was a good foot soldier for a couple years. He simply didn't fit and became expendable when Wright came along.
 
We don't need more wings, but I'd love to sign Vince for the veterans' minimum or one of the exceptions to round things out. Another shooter off the bench.

I'd also like Bebe back to fill Poeltl's #5 big spot as another defender/shotblocker to go with all our wing defenders, but that ain't gonna happen.
