Yes he is - he is far better than Kyle Lowry :laugh:

But trading for a guy after you tell him he's not being traded and then trading him for someone who doesn't want to come and will leave in a year is different then trading him if he wanted to come.

I am thinking this is the first of many deals that is about to transpire. Do the Raps flip Leonard and Lowry to the Lakers for youngsters not named Ball and Picks? This would give Lebron his 3 headed monster to combat Houston and Golden State!!!!

It hurts to lose DD, I personally was a fan of his. Real trooper and loyal to the Raptors. Not our Carter, McGrady or Bosh of the past. A player that truly wanted to be in Toronto and improved every year since being drafted. He will be missed and I am sorry to see him go.

But if Leonard can turn into a piece that rebuilds our team long term this is a great deal. If Leonard only turns into a one year wonder that maybe brings us to the NBA finals its a soft win.

Would have preferred us acquiring Leonard with DD and Lowry still together giving us the 3 headed attack. But I guess that was never happening.

I am hoping that when reports are saying that the deal has more pieces from both ends switching teams that it means Ibaka is part of the deal from a Toronto perspective. Good to hope I guess, but highly unlikely.

Nobody thought PG13 was re-signing in OKC.

tbh though there's a chance now that Lowry gets shipped out too. He's pretty close with DD and depending on the nature of the conversation between them, I can see KL asking for a trade. Might be time for an actual culture reset.

This would be the best case scenario.

Trade Kawai to the Lakers for some of their young studs. Trade Lowry for some more youth. Buckle up for the Greek Freak in a couple years
 
I don't get why people have a problem with this assuming he actually plays.

Guy has just become easily the best player in the east, and with KL a team that should be able to lose to GS in the finals.

Poetl hurts though.
 
Great trade. They have to be shipping him to LA for Ball ++. Can’t see them keeping Leonard. Can the Raptors max contract him and than trade him?
 
This trade enrages me beyond all rationality tbh. If they cannot resign Kawhi or if he starts any drama about being up here it's a disaster

Yea Danny is exactly what we'd want in that spot. He can shoot at a Miles like %, maybe less volume I'd have to check, but he can defend well
