Rempe is using the whole arsenal of tools, lingering in Binnington's crease early in the game to try to get under the skin of the Blues and then smiling on the bench afterward.

Because of the cap and talent dilution every team needs to carry 1 or 2 non NHL players.

The issue is the Rangers were carrying more than that.

Cullye-Wennberg-Kakko is a 3rd line that could very easily be the type of line that’s the difference in a tight checking series where you need your 3rd line to come through. I really like that mix.

Agreed. The biggest benefit of having that line though, which has all the makings of a true blue shutdown line, is that it will take the pressure off the Zibanejad line from having to be the matchup line against the opponent's best offensive players. That means that ZK will be able to spend more time on the ice against weaker opposition, which should improve their 5v5 contributions on offence.

Changes make Like 4 far more serviceable.

I thought Schneider was good besides what the the advanced stats say. Liked him and Miller. Zac Jones needs more time.

Yea we always try to pass our way into the offensive zone. We are short on players who can just skate it in especially with Chytil out. Jack adds a much needed skill set to our team.

excited to see what Roslovic can do with more time and practice with K and Z. his speed and puckhandling is very apparent. he also had quite a few down moments, hopefully those go away

Wennberg was an immediate upgrade to the PP and 3rd line. Cuylle and Kakko had 9 shots which I credit a lot to Wennberg's zone entries and passing. He sure as shit doesn't shoot but he enables two decent shooters to shoot more, which is great.

If the Rangers do plan on moving bottom liners in and out of the lineup the next one against NJ might be a good one to scratch Rempe. Matthew played pretty well tonight....nearly scoring again. I was just thinking though it would be a laugh against the Devils who traded for MacDermid just because of the havoc Rempe caused in the last one and Kurtis won't likely be a factor at all except negatively if Matthew sits the next one out. So far in 3 games Kurtis has gotten a whopping 13 minutes total ice time combined and put his team on the penalty kill 3 separate times. Why fight the guy.....just let him put us on the power play if that's what they want.

Here’s another thing that almost sounds blasphemous to say. Because I love chytil. Wennberg is more the prototypical third line two way center you kind of want behind your two offensive centers when building your team out. Brooks been saying this forever but if Chytil isn’t your 2C and gets dropped to the third line he doesn’t fit. So with Trocheck doing what he’s doing, wennberg is a great fit behind our guys if chytil can’t be here in the 2C spot he was supposed to have
