Literally was about to post the exact same thing - this has to come to pass!!

In other news, Buch looked like a madman out there tonight. Wish we still had him in NY.

Great game all round, although, 93 still looks absolutely neutered at anything resembling offense.
Barstool is selling one

I like that we took a shitload of shots in that third period but to be honest I feel St. Louis lacks great offensive players and never really threatened us. We played poorly for 2 periods and still won 4-0.
Good games by the third line and Roslovic looked good moving the puck.
STL top line is one of the best in the game. Their whole team is one of the top rush offenses in the league

We looked really composed for most of the game. The Blues where never really able to get setup and have extended zone time.
The new guys seemed to fit in well, and Roslovic having a bit of speed and moving the puck with purpose makes the 1st line look more dangerous.
All 6 D were really good and it's a shame we haven't been able to find a place for Jones, his ability to actually move the puck to a forward rather than just a blind clear really helps.
Think Jones has shown enough to replace Gustafsson as bottom pair LD next year when Gustafsson prices himself out as a UFA. Not amazing, but Jones is already a solid #6 D with mid pair upside still.

Watching him fly around out there all night, Lafreniere is legitimately looking like a first overall pick. I swear, if you didn’t know anything about these players and were just watching you’d be like “yeah 10 and 13 are star forwards” no question. Lafreniere legit looked like the best skater on the ice half the game tonight. Every time he’s out there he’s smooth and silky and flying and creating chances.

And honestly, Rempe is a far better hockey player than he’s getting credit for. He’s raw for the nhl but it feels like he’s not even remotely out of place, if anything it feels like he’s more effective than your average fourth liner. His length just makes him a pressure machine, it felt like any time he was closing on a Blues’ D they were peeing their pants, not even just fear of being hit but because his closing speed is so fast bc of his length I think he’s just catching everyone by surprise. His hands are surprisingly good in tight, good release in that shot, he’s good on the forecheck.

Wennberg is gonna be huge as the 3C. It’s just such a big upgrade, no offense to Jonny. Roslovic is fast and skilled and shifty and intriguing. I feel like he’s a guy if you can get him to be engaged and motivated that he could very easily go on a tear and be a really good player for a couple of months.

His forecheck is intimidating. Literally making the other team panic.

I'm not a big fighting fan but Rempe is a good player and also plays so damn hard he can't not be a fan favorite.
I think Rempe can be what we thought we were getting with Goodrow, a physical force, a solid overall player.

To be fair, Goodrow was that player.... just for one year only.

-Igor back in form
-Fox dominant
-Rempe is a legit 4th liner , not just a goon
-Liked what I saw from Wennberg and Roslovic
-Zibby and Kreider looked somewhat better 5 on 5, I still want more from them though
-Not having Trouba is addition by subtraction
