Thats amazing. That 2020 draft looks like it will have 5 NHL regulars and the possibility of a backup goalie. Kinda ridiculous. Whata draft.
 
It's too bad Jones isn't a few inches taller. Really like the kid but it's obvious he will never get a chance here. I am surprised a team with a ton of picks like Arizona wouldn't trade a 2nd or couple of thirds for him.

Yeah, the game started the way they usually do with the Blues looking dangerous but not having much time.

Then, as the game goes along they start to gain zone time until we're just not doing anything.

Tonight, it completely went the other way.

In other news, Buch looked like a madman out there tonight. Wish we still had him in NY.

Great game all round, although, 93 still looks absolutely neutered at anything resembling offense.
 
Kicked the shit out of them. Rempe just works hard man. It's amazing the reception you get if you just try. Almost like it matters. Haha

Also, new guys looked good and Jones will be a regular next season I think. He isn't without faults but he can pass and skate.
 
Watching him fly around out there all night, Lafreniere is legitimately looking like a first overall pick. I swear, if you didn’t know anything about these players and were just watching you’d be like “yeah 10 and 13 are star forwards” no question. Lafreniere legit looked like the best skater on the ice half the game tonight. Every time he’s out there he’s smooth and silky and flying and creating chances.

And honestly, Rempe is a far better hockey player than he’s getting credit for. He’s raw for the nhl but it feels like he’s not even remotely out of place, if anything it feels like he’s more effective than your average fourth liner. His length just makes him a pressure machine, it felt like any time he was closing on a Blues’ D they were peeing their pants, not even just fear of being hit but because his closing speed is so fast bc of his length I think he’s just catching everyone by surprise. His hands are surprisingly good in tight, good release in that shot, he’s good on the forecheck.

Wennberg is gonna be huge as the 3C. It’s just such a big upgrade, no offense to Jonny. Roslovic is fast and skilled and shifty and intriguing. I feel like he’s a guy if you can get him to be engaged and motivated that he could very easily go on a tear and be a really good player for a couple of months.
