Screwed up the goalies immediately with Dubnyk for ARZ (1 SO) and Thibault for BUF (2 SO - dangit! :pullhair:)

I realize that picking goalies who played just 1 season for SOs is risky, but it always feels like picking goalies who played during high scoring eras is even riskier, so if my options are mid-90s to '05 lockout, then 2010-15 or so, my options for these 3 teams are......... Hasek, Miller, Khabibulin, Bryzgalov, Smith, Vernon, and Kiprusoff for goalies I know for sure would be correct... so yeah, those would all be way too high %

Oof, another tough one, very thankful I was able to get all 9 correct (SO glad I had Janik in by back pocket for DET/BUF, or this would have been a LOT worse! :D)

I thought of Stephane Richer, who could have helped me in a number of places, but I wasn't sure if he had 2 Cups, figured he was either with the '93 Habs or the '95 Devils, but not both - which is correct, but he was with the '86 Habs :eyeroll:

100% gave up after the first 2 rows... how is 50 PIMs so difficult to reach?? You'd think most full time skaters would have hit that mark, but apparently Shawn McEachern and Greg De Vries both did not  (Edit: Actually, McEachern did with OTT, and De Vries did with ATL, but I picked them for BOS and OTT respectively! :banghead::banghead::banghead:)

Ok, so here's what happened...

Joe Mullen - 1063pts
Michel Goulet - 1152pts :pullhair:
Tomas Sandstrom - 394 goals :eek2::facepalm:
Shawn McEachern - 256 (ok, that one's a whiff)
Adam Oates - 1420pts, and............ 341 goals (silly me, trying to be clever :help:)

I attempt these occasionally, just my 2nd ever finish! Usually I get like 4-6 correct. The center one was the hardest.

Many others decided to be clever with the fact that Kuzmenko hasn't played a game as a Flame yet, I see :eyeroll:

Also, Barrett Jackman being a 1st round pick caught me off guard, I usually don't make those kinds of mistakes for 1st rounds that I watched live...

And yeah, my Calder winner knowledge is so bad, I legitimately don't remember any undrafted winner other than Panarin off the top of my head :dunno:

Still a waaay better game than yesterday's

Or not! Latta actually never got an NHL game before the Erat/Forsberg trade, it turns out!

Nor did Joel Kwiatkowski play for NYI, could have sworn he did... and I was way off on Jack Skille, he never even got 20 points... big off week, including a couple 3%ers in Ronning and... LEPISTO??? :eek2:

Four Mikes overall (which I didn't notice until after I had completed the game). I wonder what the record is for most instances of a certain first name in one game.

I knew this one was going to suck, but maaaaaan, I did not see those numbers on Volchenkov or Hiller coming! :amazed:

Edit: Awww, I can't believe I missed McLean and Cloutier for NYR! Gotta turn my fan card in :pout:

Ok, so I don't know captains that well, it would appear... :banghead:

Couldn't even remember the Caps' captain from when I started watching (mid-90s), guessed Bobby Carpenter but that was wrong, so now now it's bugging me... (edit: How did I forget Hatcher, Hunter and Chris Clark???)

Could have done better on LA's, but MIN's was a stroke of great memory, haha!

Also: always dangerous when ANA comes up with teams both Joseph Cramarossa and Michael Sgarbossa have played for! :scared:

Meh, could have done better. Scared myself away from Zubov, but he would have worked (75/NYR). Thought of Clendening and Motte (both <1%) but went with Forsberg for CHI/CBJ. Thought of Cervenka for KHL/Undrafted, but thought Plotnikov would be lower, ugh.

8/9 for me today. I goofed on the KHL + 75 point season in NHL square. I went with Patrik Elias who briefly played in Russia during the 2004-05 lockout (and got really ill from contaminated food which knocked him out for the first half of the 2005-06 NHL season). I hesitated for a moment since the Russian super league hadn't yet rebranded as the KHL.

What a comedy of errors...

1. Got Savage confused with Ramage
2. Forgot that Joe Morrow didn't play a game for DAL or PIT, just was in the other Morrow trade :eyeroll:
3. Calling BS on Matthew Lombardi for EDM, player doesn't need to play for the drafting team in these categories, and him getting drafted again by a different team doesn't erase that he was at one point drafted by this team. Under protest! :madfire:
4. Mike Cammalleri! ................. played 906 games. :banghead:
