It's not really that as much as BUF wants the value of 22-23 Cozens and DET wants to pay the value of 23-24 and 24-25 Cozens.

You don't usually convince a team to sell a player at their all time low value, unless the player wants out.

I've been saying this since the original rumors popped up before Christmas.

Both teams are trying to pull out of a rebuild and are loaded with youth.

A swap of "depressed assets" or marginal depth pieces could make some sense in theory but even then, I struggle to see a match.

Yeah the only type of trades to make between theee teams are like NAK For Motte or fischer. Buffalo doesn’t want prospects or futures for a player like cozens. I’m guessing similar to Detroit for those players. They’re not gonna want futures either.

I mean, Larkin, Seider, Raymond are all far superior players to Cozens. Why would Detroit ever move one of them for Cozens. Because potential?

Then it's terrible, but I still don't fully believe that he controls and makes trades. I mean, did he make trades for Botterill? I'm not sure. I know he insisted on signing Skinner for 9 million. So was Terry the one who signed Zucker? Did Terry trade for Skinner? Montour? There are a lot of questions and doubts.
 
Don't see ASP being moved. I think if this was gonna happen it would have happened. As a wings fan not really that interested in Cozens and judging by Sabres fans they want a specific return that other teams probably better suited to offer. Any wings fans coming into this thread Willy nilly offering prospects doesn't still understand SY yet so please excuse them. They know not what they spew. They just a lil desperate.

As mention in the other thread would be something like Krebs for Rassmussen or pure prospect for prospect.

Buffalo is not trading Cozens or Byram for spare parts or magic beans.

Probably should’ve been clearer: we need *good* players at those positions. The team doesn’t suck because it’s hurting for more Clifton and Okposo types. I think if Buffalo moves Cozens, it’s either for a guy who’s an upgrade on him at center or a solid defensive RHD who could slot in next to someone like Dahlin or Power.
