Dropped by for the Avs/Knights prospect game on Saturday afternoon. Thought Timmins played well enough and maybe most importantly he didn't seem to be shy about taking a hit to make a play.

Avs don't run scrimmages at training camp, but he was one of the best defenders yesterday. He'll probably start his career in the AHL, but he's still highly touted even if he becomes a defensive-defender in the long-run.
If he can stay healthy that future Avs defense is just like wow elite to me.

Guilty of trying to trade for him a few times last year on the avs board.... Him byram and makar is going to make for a pretty nasty defense in a year or 2.

Update on Timmins- played his first game in about 18 months last night.
I was pleasantly surprised, looked very composed and smooth. Didn’t look skittish when pressured. Really hoping this guy can stay healthy, looks to be another potential bright spot for us on D

I had my doubts about him being able to return to form after missing a year of development but he hasn't seemed to skip a beat. He'll be an NHLer.
I don’t think I’ll ever forgot how dominant him and Makar were at WJC 2018. Very jealous of that Colorado defense.

AVs defense can be incredible in a few years. Timmins importance will solidify the 2nd line.

At this rate, I have to wonder what we'll be able to get for him in trade when he hits RFA & wants to get paid...
I thought he was good against the Wild in the preseason game, but outstanding would not be a word I'd use. Seems to play smart. Looks like he still needs to fill out and get stronger. Too bad the only option for him is the AHL....it can be a rough league with a couple of old style goonish types still looking to take off someone's head. That's the last thing Timmins needs.
Down the road I can see CO lacking some beef on their D. Might want to keep Zadorov around, though he doesn't seem to be a favorite of the coaching staff.

What a story. 2nd round draft pick. Almost makes the Avs 3 months later As an 18 year old. Plays his draft+1 year in junior, gets concussed at the end of the season, doesn’t play hockey for 18 MONTHS and still bypasses the AHL.

I couldn't care less about Colorado but I'm glad that he made it past the concussion issues. Very impressive that he has apparently been playing at a high level.
