So by my count Risto has been on the ice for 6 goals against in 3 games. Is that good? Asking for a friend
I'm going to need a list of players where +/-, CF%, and xGF% mean something and a list of players where they don't mean anything. I can't keep it straight.

That said, Risto has not looked good and his skating appears impeded.

How context around stats works has been explained to you numerous times every year for years straight. What's the problem?

When will Torts pull the healthy scratch card on Risto? A certain poster would tell you that despite Torts not being a firm believer in analytics, he does look at individual negative plays/mistakes that lead to goals in roster assessment. Given that Risto has already had several gaffes, we can only assume that he’ll soon earn a healthy scratch, right? Right?!

I expect Risto to get healthy scratched at some point. Especially since he doesn’t appear fully healthy at all.

If he’s not healthy put him on the IR until he is ready to go. If he is physically sound, send him down to LHV to get his game in order. If it means going through waivers, so what? No one is going to claim him and that contract. If they do, again, so what?

Waivers aren’t happening. They can still trade him eventually if they want. I don’t think they’re going to give up after 4 games.

It’s hard to tell how much is the groin injury, & how much is rust. He had very little game action in a long time before these 4 games. Missed the end of last season injured. Then was hampered by injury for most of camp/preseason.

In any event, if he doesn’t sharpen, he’ll either start rotating in & out or go on IR.

We'd get full cap relief by burying him in Allentown. The whole $5.1m.

If they just send him down to the Phantoms, then there'd be over a million in cap relief. Which is still enough to recall a superior prospect like York, and have some money left over.
