Risto has gotten better I'll give him that. He went from terrible to bad - I just laugh at the twitter groups taking victory laps on Risto and Torts lol

Imo you need to compare his on ice production with his salary and the Cost to acquire him! If you do that he is the worst dman since Amac! I hate him since day one. And i will hate him till his last day in a flyers jersey!

The whole "re-tool" or whatever of the defense is a sight to behold:

Truly a masterclass in what not to do while running an NHL franchise.

The Penguins are right there with the Flyers:
Malkin-4yrs-$24.4M
Letang-6yrs-$36.6M
Carter-2yrs-$6.25
Rakell-6yrs-$30M
Graves-6yrs-$27M
Karlsson-4yrs-$39M

Top DC gone this year and third and fifth rounders as well; second rounder next year.
Then there's the messes in Ottawa, Calgary and other places. Lots of stupid floating around in the FOs of the league.

The Pens just won 3 cups...I think it was worth it

Of all the things we recieved back for those assets, Rizzo is the best one.

And we got him for future considerations.

I mean its risto.... who has believed he was a new player? Its the same with Sanheim. Most of us saw for years how good he is. Now he is in the position to show it and the media and the franchise paint him in new light. He is the same Player but is now playing in a place he can use his skills.

Risto is bad and will remain bad. He will have a solid game from time to time. When he is solid 3 games they paint him as renewed:laugh:

If anyone can get that meathead to play hockey at a professional level, I guess Tortellini is the man for the job. Do you think he has a shock collar on Fisto that he uses whenever Fisto isn't looking the right way?

Over 2 years since I made the thread and seems like nothing has changed

Haven't been able to catch games live in a long time, but I actively use Twitter and watch interviews, highlights and stuff so I thought he has a made a good progress. Also I'm pretty sure depends who you ask.
