Strome coming back is also going to be a boost. I still like Strome.

If Strome comes back and they put him back with Panarin, I am going to peel the skin off of my butt and leave it in Gallant's favorite coffee mug.
My thing is where does he line up? If not with Panarin, is he on the 3rd line with Laf and Chytil? Feel like Goodrow is working well there since he is a help on the defensive end. That is the last thing Strome is good for.

If he is on the 4th line are you getting the most out of him? Playing with Motte and Hunt might work, but he is not a worker and not a shooter. I fear he is 100% going back with Panarin and Copp. It was okay the 1st two games. When Strome went down, that line with Hunt got better. Extremely small samples of both, but that line has just rolled the last few games. Maybe it was more about Copp getting used to Panarin and less to do with Strome being off the line.

Those who are saying he should be replaced by Kinkaid evidently aren't motivated by Georgiev's play. Kinkaid is worse and that isn't even debatable.

Do you realize that most people here don't know those stats you shared? They're going off Georgiev's horrible play and think everyone is literally better. The fact that you're reaching so hard makes it seem like you may be the one with a political agenda.

Last year Kincaid had some pretty good games (sucked overall though) and that's what people remember.

This is why Strome has been a fourth liner on other teams.

I think some offensive flair is exactly what that 3rd line needs to complete it.

Either Chytil or Goodrow will have to center the 4th line. It's two months of high stakes hockey and it's just gonna have to be tough shit. We have 10 bonafide top-9 forwards.

Having a no-doubt top-9 player on your 4th line for a sprint in a league that temporarily has no cap is a very good thing.

Imagine Motte-Chytil-Hunt.

Who has had a better 4th than that ever?

Over 82 games, I don't care that much about the 4th line, but in the Russian Roulette of NHL playoffs, we're operating in the margins.

Something nobody is talking about is Jeff Blashill's hideous suit jacket during last night's game. That thing was beer shit brown, not sure what he was thinking with that one.

He is one of the longest tenured coaches in the league, what the heck is Detroit doing with him?

I think Chytil on the 4th line would be even worse. Goodrow does make the most sense, and would love to see Motte-Goodrow-Hunt as a 4th line. People asked for a Coleman-Gourde-Goodrow type line for this team, well that would be that line. It's not as good, but the style is there. You want to send out a line at the end of the game to help shutdown the opponent, that is the shutdown line.

I just would not let Lafreniere-Strome-Chytil see the ice in the final 5 minutes up a goal.

my unrealistic dream is that when Strome comes back, he gets put on Chytil's wing.

Chytil can carry the puck with speed. He doesn't have Strome's passing but he's got something really good going with Laf and I don't want to break it up.

He was worse than Georgiev in the one game he played.
Exactly, and I saw that game and remember I said it in that GDT if you want to go see or in some chat, maybe not here but I said he would be judged by just that one game and its a shame, which is why I think he deserves another shot.

Wasnt it Kenny bringing it up? Whenever he’s pbp he’ll always bring up positives about the Rangers hes one of our guys. 😃

Edit: I should've kept reading

Only to be shot down with negativity and shade from Eddie O. Lol

You're overestimating the impact of a backup goalie. Georgiev has cost us like 8 goals.
Oh please. Georgiev is going to start in over 25 games this year. Thats a big impact. For a team that has a .684 winning % overall he is barely above NHL .500. He stinks. His last 2 games were atrocious and we were lucky to win both and had to score 5 in each game to get it done.

The Rangers have to stop playing so well and you guys have to stop making me defend people.

I have to stay heel so @Edge gets a huge pop when he returns to challenge me at CorsiMania.

That people would keep screaming at me regardless.
Who's screaming at you? You are stating that people don't like Georgiev because of other things aside from his lousy play. The vast majority here just want better play on the ice from him. As I said before, If he had a .915 save % and not an .890 and didn't give up bad back braking goals on a regular basis, there would be much less bitching. He also handles the puck like a grenade. He stinks and his trade value is in the toilet. Lets not kid ourselves.
