His GSAx is literally -7.92.

That's roughly 8.

All I'm doing is giving you facts.

How the 8 is distributed matters. Also, all I'm giving you is facts that the team needed to score 5 just in the last two games to win them. They score 3, like they do on average and their chances of getting home ice in the first round take a huge hit, that's just two games.

But that doesn't mean he cost us 5 goals. That's not how goaltending works.

He didn't cost us 5 goals, in fact he gave up 4 goals. But all 4 were trash. Maybe 3 of the 4 were trash. The expected values have to assign a probability of those goals going in and the probability of scoring literally from the upper deck would be more than 0%. But that's not how real life works, it's binary. He should have given up maybe 1 of the goals he gave up yesterday, instead we needed a third period come back. Similar but not as bad against Buffalo.

I respect the stats and logic, I just irrationally hate him

His logic seems to be biased the same way that he says others' is. The claim that Glass wasn't hated as much as Georgiev may be true to some extent, but Glass was hated by everyone. The difference is he seemed like the consummate team player while Georgiev is sulking and not celebrating with Shesterkin when he wins.

No he makes sense. Geo sucks, no one is saying otherwise. Geo only plays a few games a year against bad teams or on back to backs. That isn't enough to actually impact the rangers record. Also Kinkaid f***ing sucks. Huska is also bad. We don't have a viable alternative. I megaloath Geo and there is not better option at the moment. He makes way too much and will be easily replaceable this offseason.

Except people get invested in every game and mostly rage on Georgiev when he's playing. Sure if he was our starter it would be worse but people get pissed at him the games he plays and in those games it's cold comfort that he doesn't play a lot of games.

I rage as soon as I see him announced as the starter. I don't think Igor is soo fragile he cant handle a back to back. Doesnt change the fact that there is not better option. It honestly says more about our depth than it does about Geo. Our goalies are terrible if Igor goes down.

Drops a few turds then saves our arses. Sometimes in the course of one game lol. That's way better than when your starter really sucks. Why complain?

Cmon now.. We don't know and they're pros. It's that simple.

When does he save our asses? Other than that one Carolina game. He has a nice save once in a while, but if your standards are so low that a nice save once in a while is enough? And yeah I'm glad we're not Edmonton, we can still complain about Georgiev.

Wanting Kinkaid over him is a conspiracy
I mean, can he really be worse at this point. He's not gonna get any tough matchups and he has had success in the NHL. David Ayers would be an upgrade right now.

To continue with the status quo simply isn't going to work. I'd give Georgiev 1 more game to figure it out and only because he stole one against CAR. You straight up cannot allow the goals he's allowed the last 2 games and be employed as a goaltender in the NHL. It can't happen

This is beautiful. “This winning is unsustainable! We rely too much on Igor!” Well, it turns out they needed some actual talent in certain spots throughout the lineup! Who would’ve thunk it?!

Guess what?

The way they played was unsustainable. We did rely too much on Shestyorkin. Drury addressed the exact weaknesses some fans have pointed out for months.

Drury addressing those weaknesses doesn't mean those weaknesses never existed.

But my point was that there were so many that never considered that help was coming at the deadline. He was going to add pieces. They were able to “tread water” until they could get help. They played an entire season with Hunt in the top-6, Gauthier as a RW3, and McKegg as a fourth liner. Not saying that team would’ve done anything in the playoffs, but we were way past the “this is unsustainable” bs. There was also a belief that he was a Sather clone and was going to “ruin the rebuild”. I remember that one well.
