I don't think so. Once Kakko comes back, we have the following 12:

1. Mika
2. Kreid
3. Vatrano
4. Strome
5. Panarin
6. Copp
7. Chytil
8. Laf
9. Kakko
10. Goodrow (I think he stays in the lineup for sure)
11. Motte? (I think he stays in the lineup for now)
12. Rooney? Hunt? Gauthier? Reaves? Brodzinski?

It's hard to say who makes up #11 and #12 in that list. I think spot #11 is Motte's to lose with how fast he's been skating. He's been excellent.

On the other side, it really depends on the type of matchup we need. I can see Reaves some nights, Brodzinski some others. Rooney may be on the outside looking in. Personally, I doubt Gauthier gets any starts going forward at this point either. He just never generated enough offense, which is a genuine shame since I wanted him to put it together.

Goodrow and Motte are definitely ahead of the rest of those forwards. I think the 12 spot could go to any of Reaves, Rooney, or Hunt on a given night and be effective. Reaves is in if you want toughness. Rooney is in if you want another PKer. Hunt is in if you want energy.

Right. We all know why people don't like him. You just said it. They blame him for DeAngelo ending up in limbo, which has been debunked a million times over.
I still think the main reason is he is not liked is his play. People are just done and ready to move on. So many of his goals allowed are just so bad.

Laf and Chytil have been shooting some laser wristers but they're not hitting the net. Get these two some shooting practice because they could do some major damage with those shots. Add in a Kakko on the right side of Chytil who lets Kakko play his type of game and that could be a great third line if GG plays them.

The kid line was a bad idea before because all of them we struggling and it seemed like a thinly veiled excuse for Quinn to bury them in the lineup.

I like the idea a lot more now that Lafreniere and Chytil are starting to cook, and because Kakko and Chytil have played well in the past. I would just hope that Gallant will keep deploying them as the third line in tight games and not rely on his more “responsible” fourth line.

That argument kind of falls apart when you want one of the worst goaltenders of a generation to replace him.

There's a reason Kinkaid is on his third straight season in the AHL, and he hasn't even been good there this year.

Meh, I think that's painting with a pretty broad brush. I am counting down the games til I don't have to watch Geo again and I can promise you it has absolutely nothing to do with ADA.

In all seriousness, McKegg was more than fine last night. 4th line had dominant stretches.

I'm happy he hit ADA, doesn't mean he's not also a crap goalie. Had to laugh at his attempt to do an Igor and fire it up ice last night. Really, stop over thinking it. He's better off freezing every puck.

There's no buts here. Kinkaid is much worse by any objective measure.

People want Kinkaid up because he's super thrilled and smiling about being terrible, which is a weird hill to die on.

If I was having the worst year of my life, I wouldn't be laughing and high-fiving either.

Because it's Georgiev, it's "off ice stuff."
This.

He can have bad body language at times, probably because, like you said, he’s having a really rough year. But the “off ice stuff”narrative was basically willed into existence by the dorks that took it extremely personally when he punched their incel hero Tony D in the face and effectively got him booted from the organization.

Nothing more, nothing less.

I think the next time a similar score (win) coupled with a "performance" from Georgiev (again, similar) we all should NOT be able to express what we all have endured now (assuming it was read) as it really is redundant and the typical "masters of the obvious", again and again, over and over expressed just a little differently. I mean, what if Alexander f***offiev reads this? His confidence will be shattered, and his "feeling" will be severed.
It's no wonder he's a crappy teammate. He's butt hurt.

That is because Georgiev is sporting an .890 save % this year and that irks people especially when he is making 2.5 mil. His last 2 games of .846 and .765 just makes it even worse and many of the goals allowed are just so awful. If he was sporting a .915 the complaints would be far less. Many on this board hate Ryan Strome also because of his play. "It's not personal Sonny, it's strictly business".

Rangers have scored a league-leading 18(!) even strength goals since the trade deadline in their 5 games. That's 3.6 per game.

In 63 games prior to the deadline they scored 118, which is 1.87 per game which ranked 23rd in the league.
Amazing what being able to roll 4 trusted and talented lines can do for a team. Wears down defenses, doesn't it? Speed kills (we all know that, they've been really , really good since tdl.
Thanks for those stats btw, was wondering. Kaapo was one of our better possession players, wasn't he? That should really blend well.

Yeah I mean I'm fed up with Georgiev as much as the next guy but bringing up Kinkaid is certainly not the answer. He's absolutely terrible.

I bet that incel hero is more successful being not celibate than you.

WOW WE WON!!! I fell asleep, I feel ashamed...it was 3-2 and I got pissed. Also the TNT broadcast was pretty irritating, idk if anyone else felt that way. Love Kenny Albert tho.
I don't mind the play by play. Love Albert and can handle Jones and Olczyk. It's the morons in the studio that piss me off. I just change the channel between periods.
