When was the last time we had a stud? I am not saying our prospects are bad players. Far from
it. But we as a fan base tend to overrate our prospects.

No doubt, but people on here over react so much it's funny. He's a sure fire bust because he made a mistake. Acknowledge the mistake, yes... but histrionics and hissy fits are juvenile (not saying you do that... but it gets that way sometimes).

K'Andre Miller probably has the highest upside in the entire draft outside of the top 5. He's a fantastic prospect.

People were recently bashing Hank for his “underwhelming performance.” Really?
It’s like when a QB misses a throw and people complain. No QB EVER has a 100 percent throwing accuracy.

You have to look at it as a whole. Look at the statistics. That’s what counts. It’s rare for players to see a huge spike in their development after 20. Besides, some of the players you mentioned were talked about as having a lot of upside. And almost no one has said that about Lias.
Won't improve much more, based on what?
Scheiffele, Brassard, Schenn, Kadri, Koivu, Couture, Granlund, Niederreiter. They all developed at the age of 20. None of them even played in the NHL in their D+2 season, but sure. Lias won't develop anymore

I hear that with every player we have. I’m not saying you’re wrong. In fact, I hope you’re right. I’m just saying it’s literally been years. So I am skeptical.

I don't know who's been saying what for all these years, but the Rangers haven't had a prospect on D like Miller in my lifetime.

None of the players I mentioned even played in the NHL. If they had, at the age of 20, who knows how they would have played. I think people forget Lias has played at a higher level for the last 3 years compared to these players at the same age. SHL, AHL and now NHL.
If he had played in juniors, he would be putting up amazing numbers (like he did in SuperElit U20 at the age of 17)
This team has turned us all into cynical, old, angry George Carlin.
We havent had a stud because of our draft position. Franchise players rarely fall out of the top 3. Keeping Hayes only makes our draft position worse and keeps us from the "studs".
