I was on the fence on Panarin up until a few days ago when I found myself shifting in favor. It's important to keep in mind that Panarin ISN'T the timeline, Kakko and Co. are. God I hope it doesn't take 7+ years, but worst case scenario, when his contract is up our young elite prospects should be in their prime with the tutelage of one of the most dynamic forwards in the game today to elevate them. I hope we can contend ASAP for the cup, but until then this is gonna be a fun team to watch grow over the next hockey generation and I plan to enjoy the ride high's, lows and all. Such an exciting time to be a Ranger fan.

This is obviously a very exciting time here in Rangerland at least for most of us in here and all my Ranger fan friends now that we signed Panarin as our team just got a hell of alot better today.

I'm wondering tho if those of you vocal "anti Panarin" folks in here...you know who you are, due I guess and I'm paraphrasing here because the "timing" wasn't right in your opinions as Panarin would be out of his prime at the same time the kids would be blossoming an his contract would than be an albatross...etc etc....something along those lines.

Now that the reality is that we have him, do y'all still feel we screwed up and we shouldn't have signed him?

Just trying to take the temperature here from the original anti-Panarin peeps seeing you guys had an interesting perspective about not wanting him. I didn't agree with this thought process than nor do I now but it was certainly interesting to read your opinions and so I just wanted to see if anything has changed your minds now that he's actually here.

Everyone vote 27!!!! Kovalev was my favorite player growing up and I’d love to buy 2 breadman jerseys....I’ve worn 27 my whole life playing

I got a feeling Panarin is going to pick #96...makes sense. He can't have 9 or 99. He can't have 72 his old # in Chicago seeing that's Chytl's.

So 96 is my choice for him...ya think?

I disagree with literally everything valiquette said. He had some shades of Don Cherry right there.

Valiquette has never impressed me as a commentator since he came on board. I dunno, he really doesn't bring anything of substance to the table and never has.

So what he said here is a typical ignorant statement from him.

It’s a rebuild.

So plant a bulb. When it starts to bud, drop a tree on top of if that you have to remove in a few years ?
