panarin should be with mika. those 2 plus kakko would be magic.

thats your first line right there. no question and one heck of a PP1

the PP1 would be that entire line plus kravtsov and one of ADA or fox. thats lethal right there.

the 2nd line should be chytls to lose. hes got the size and wheels to play there and we don't need him on the edge this season. add kravtsov and buchnevich and thats a load of talent for line 2 and honestly those are your top 6 talented forwards.

line 3 would ideally be the best 3 of lemieux, strome, andersson and howden.

need some size and grit on line 4. McKegg seems to be one of those guys for line 4 along with quickie and perhaps andersson or nieves.

I have to disagree with line 2. Kravstov Chytil Buchnevich has too much perimeter hockey, you need someone on that line to forecheck and dig pucks out of the corners for the other 2.

Panarin is very good but not worth 400k less than mcdavid. Won't these massive contracts devolve into lockout? Also i believe he's russian. So how much money does he make after CAD is converted into Russion Dollars.

McDavid: RFA
Panarin: UFA

Also, he has no reason to convert his money to Rubles (Russian dollars as you call them)

I'd have Chytil behind Howden. He's done very little to show he's capable.

If he comes in to camp and proves it, great.

I don't see Chytil is a center either. But, if you're going to try him there, and you want him to be successful, you put him with Panarin and Kravtsov. Frankly, I'd rather trade for a young high end center prospect (Borgstrom?) and keep Chytil on the wing. Howden centers the 3rd line AFAIC. Right now, though, Strome is your 2C until he gets moved.

Well I can see Chris Kreider get moved at TDL or end of this summer window. I just hope Panarin manage the media pressure here and do not flop hard, but I feel we need at least one season to build chemistry with so many new players including new prospects coming in this training camp!

Mcdavid was strictly a free agent, yes, you confirmed that. Panarin is the 2nd highest top player in the League. This is why a lockout will come, and he is russian so the rubbles will convert back into NHL Money.

What if they can do Names , Shatty at half and Smith at half ?

So that gets you through this year. Are you just letting Kreider go at the end of the year? Kreider is getting moved. He was shopped at the draft, and once Panarin was signed, his fate was sealed. Gorton doesn't want this to bleed into the season. Kreider is getting traded before the season starts. And, we're likely to see other moves. NHL Network put up the Ranger lineup, and Andersson wasn't in it. They have too many forwards, and they need to create cap space.

you can make it work for next year while kreider makes 4.65 mil...which is good that it doesn't force us to make a trade of CK this summer. but resigning kreider long term for $7 mil per is a different story

if gorton is truly a wizard he will use kreider & buch to land a young future 1C. fill the whole and clear the cap space in the same shot lol

Ya you’re not making a lot of sense man

2nd highest paid player in the league, panarin is fantastic but offensively, probably just top 10. People say this will lead to players Speaking "WTF" as they say and a lockout will commence.

Russians have a good tracked record in this league, now all you guys need is chara.

Trouba will almost certainly be on the point of PP1.

Give Strome a shot as 2C. He is solid to me. Nothing flashy but does lots of things good.

I think the Rangers really consider commitment to fitness in deciding who they are going to commit years to. I was listening to Stepan on the Spittin' Chicklets podcast, his commitment to his body sounded... less than ideal. They barely talked long-term with Hayes at all.

Too bad the blue line is still a mess.

the blueline is still a work in progress and likely why we will still struggle next year...but its so much better than last year just by swapping pionk for trouba...not where it needs to be but its clearly moving in the right direction
