Check to see what your variable price is. I'm also in 225 and everything in my price category is generally $80. My average price per game is $89 but my variable price for that game is $66 so it's actually still a fair amount above face value.

$107 is my variable price for that game. I'm in Row 7.
I actually have 2 pair in different price points because I got the 2nd pair later so I had to pay the going rate for new business at that time.
One pair is $107 variable ($140/avg) and one pair is $88 ($116/avg).

So their pricing is less than one pair of my tickets but more than the other pair.
The pricing is $98 ($103 aisle) below Row 16 for 225 and for row 16 and up is $80.

Yeah the price break is row 15 with everything below that being more. I don't think them dipping below new business prices/half seasons/quarter seasons is anything really new, the one price they've never dipped below is tenured full season. I still can't fathom how they have the balls to charge sometimes $20-30 more per ticket than tenured full season plan holders for new business with the amount of unsold seats they have. I have in the past considered adding seats but that's an absolute non-starter for me.

It’s not my first year for $107 pair and they are full season.
This is the first time I’ve ever seen NYR prices below my STH price, full or half seasons that I’ve had in the past. Just found it odd. The only way to compete with fees is dropping below their Ticketmaster price.
I’m not looking to make money off my ticket sales. I’m happy to break even. I usually lose a few bucks every sale. Just want to subsidize my cost enough to keep doing it.

Yeah, they charge anyone the "new business" price who added tickets after a specific year (I think 16-17 or 17-18). They were charging it for one year only before reverting back to tenured price but it seems as if now if you bought after that season that's your price going forward.

Yeah certain these are the prices going forward. Price hasn’t changed since I added them a few years ago.

A bit of a pain with different prices for each pair but I work it out best I can.

Reverting back means going forward. Lol. But yeah, they really make it hard to justify being a season subscriber these days.

Was trolling through some of the facebook pages yesterday looking for a single ticket. I couldn't believe some of the "Face values" that the team is charging for corner 200 level mini plans. Why are people buying these plans to begin with? Insanity

You may be aware that New York City recently announced expanded COVID-19 vaccination mandates for attending events at performance venues in the City. To help you prepare, we’ve outlined below the government mandates as of December 27, 2021.

All Guests Age 12 And Older
[TBODY] [/TBODY]
Guests age 12 and older are required to provide proof they have received either two doses of a two-shot COVID-19 vaccination, or one dose of a single-shot vaccine.
[TBODY] [/TBODY]
Children Under Age 12
[TBODY] [/TBODY]
Children under age 12 can attend events with a vaccinated adult.
Ages 5 to 11 are required to provide proof they have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
[TBODY] [/TBODY]
Fully vaccinated guests are not required to wear a mask. (Please note that full COVID-19 vaccination means the day of your event is at least 14 days after your final vaccine dose. Everyone else, age 2 and up is required to wear a mask, except while actively eating or drinking.)

Seasons -- or anything else with playoff rights -- only make sense SCF. Other than that? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Having Rangers season tickets was a dream for me for my entire life. Having this be the year - is kind of bittersweet. I certainly feel ripped off for the prices I am paying for games and seeing MSG undercut me on nearby seats almost every game, feels like a slap in the face. Beyond the feeling of being ripped off, and not really getting any type of special treatment from MSG or the Rangers, I do love it. We'll see if I make the decision to continue after this year, all said and done.

Question, how will MSG plan to go about vetting the age of young children upon entry? My son is 4 but big for his age and we are planning on bringing him to his first game Monday 12/27 vs Detroit (assuming at this point the game is still played), I'm hoping for as seamless an entry as possible. I've tried contacting MSG via phone but have yet to get someone on the line.
This will also be my first trip back to MSG since prior to the pandemic so entry in general is a process I want to allot enough time for.
Any insight would be much appreciated!

The line to wait on to get in is now the vax check line, but it moves fairly quickly. It spreads out the crowds hitting the metal detectors. I haven't seen lines of more than 2-3 people at the detectors these days. Where you're going to wait is at the gate. You now have to scan your tickets at a scanner instead of the ticket takers scanning them, so it seems like there's been a learning curve for people trying to get in how to use the scanners. I'll admit to getting scolded by a ticket taker for doing it wrong the first time.

Short of you getting someone on the phone to get an official answer from MSG, I'd tell you to bring his birth certificate. When you get to the head of the line, tell them your son is 4 (have him wearing a mask since he's going to have to wear one inside), show the birth certificate if they ask for proof, and ask for a manager if they continue to give you a hard time. It's been my observation that the people checking vax docs skew to the younger side (interns? temps?) so they may not give you too hard of a time, but doesn't hurt to be prepared.

I've had my tickets for 9 years now (mini-plan before that), and when the team was good, there weren't a ton of perks. When the team slipped a bit, I started noticing more, though that's just my take. I think a lot of the stuff they did for STH has been eliminated due to covid. There were a bunch of events with current and/or former players, which, understandably, are not taking place right now.

The only perk is that you get tickets to the SCF. Anything else, you're better off just buying on the secondary market. Before I was a half plan owner, I was able to buy tix to every round -- at a premium that got higher as they moved on -- but it didn't get crazy undoable until the SCF. I went to the 1st 2 games in LA for less than it cost me to suffer through game 3.

Yeah, the past few years they did a lot better with things such as player meet and greets and all that up until COVID hit. When the team was in the playoffs every year, the benefits were non-existent since the real perk was you could always sell your tickets above face if you were upstairs until they jacked the prices up.

If you're looking at it strictly from a financial standpoint, season tickets aren't really worth it if you're getting in now. It's already tough getting your money back as is and the extra money MSG charges for new business just obliterates any chance you have at that. And with how high prices are to begin with, it wouldn't pay off until the SCF as others have said in terms of making up losses.
