I remember being very frustrted with how they handled the entire process. Looking back at the timeline of my emails...

9/26/11 email from msg- we're going to have a very limited amount of tickets... we will communicate with you more in mid october.

10/24/11 email from msg- restating that because we're the away team there will be very limited # of tickets then went on to say "As a Club Seat Subscriber, you have access to purchase 2 tickets. For a limited amount of time, all Club accounts are guaranteed this opportunity and will be contacted beginning on or around the week of October 24th, 2011 in order of subscription tenure. At that time, you will speak with me, your Dedicated Experience Manager about available seat locations. "

We were never contacted and told we were give tickets until 11/17 when we got an email that said "you have until this Friday (November 18th) at 5:00pm to make payment in full on the seats that have been reserved on your account. All locations that are not paid in full by that time will be released from the account."

I was received an email from the Mets yesterday (also 1/2 plan) and given my seats and relationship think that's the better route to go.

I went to Philly for WC, bought tickets from the secondary market and it was a helluva trip/game for the weekend. My concern is that most of my friends and family want to go, so I have to buy a block of 8-12 tickets. Trying to decide (preemptively) what is the best way to go about doing that.

Doubtful you would be able to do that via Season Ticket Holder allotment (unless they do a season ticket pre-sale after the allotment --- does that make sense?).... typically these are handled like all-star game events you get a max amount you can by based off of how many season tickets you have.

Typically yes. But there's a lot of variables in play. The Stadium Series they allowed us to buy more than our allotment in a second purchase period. But there was also 100,000 seats across two games compared to about 42,000 for one at Citi Field. But you also did have local fan bases in the aisles and Devils buying up tix compared to Buffalo now and who knows how many of their plan holders are buying tickets to come.

I think you'll be allowed to buy what's on your account and if there's extras you'll get another shot.

I wouldn't be surprised if MSG didn't start pricing the side the logo at center ice is facing the right way higher than the other side. They'll find anything.

As they should. Why would they want fake fan scalpers to make a profit? The prices should basically match the secondary market or they're leaving cash on the table.

I've got a 20 game plan. Shot my rep an email to inquire about what we'll be offered though I know it's way too soon for that stuff yet. Just want to put it out there that I'm interested.

if the secondary market is below what the fake fan scalpers paid, would they refund the ffs?

Email I got from Mets last night during game 6:

Let's get ready for upgrades! LOL. The question is.... do they make available all the seats that weren't renewed??
After the price increases these past few years I am very curious to see if I am finally offered Fulls this coming year. If they still keep me at halfs, next season may be my last. I know they want to keep me at halfs so I can pay even more.

I went to both the WC in Philly and the game against the Isles in the Stadium series. The WC was 10 times better mainly because it was so cold in New York the week of the Stadium Series. As far as tickets go I remember getting 2 seats for the WC even though I have 6 seats on my account but the Stadium Series was totally different because the Isles couldn't give there seats away and there were literally several thousand seats dumped on StubHub and Craigslist all from the Islanders allotment at the last minute so if you wanted to bring a group it was no problem. I didn't go to the Devils game but I heard it was a much harder ticket.
I am hoping that I get a chance to purchase 6 tickets instead of 2 like they did 6 years ago in Philly.

What I remember most about the WC is that the Rangers marked up the tickets $50 and included a scarf and a hat. Like I really need those here in Phoenix. I bought additional tickets through the NHL (I was still active in advertising with a couple of teams) for face value.

For the games at Yankee Stadium, the Rangers sold at face value although there were always plenty of seats available on the resale market. Neither the Devils or the aisles (I kinda of like that) sold their full allotment. Yankee Stadium is also much bigger than Philadelphia.

With Citi Field being smaller and Buffalo having a pretty rabid fan base, I expect these tickets will be tight and probably priced higher than previous WCs. And believe me, I'm expecting to get another scarf and hat for my collection.

And you can bet you won't be able to buy just the tickets this time either, you'll have to cough up $80 for an alumn game you could otherwise get for $10 on stubhub plus another $60 for a poster of Tanner Glass

That's if we resign him...

...for Philly, they only made the home team buy the Alumni game... but I can see them making everyone buy them.

I disagree, Gorton may not be able to fire AV but he can fire his favorite pet

Reminds me of "Moneyball" when Billy Beane traded away all of Art Howe's options for first base until he had no choice but to play Hatteberg.

For sure. I saw some pairs up on Ticketmaster in row 2 during the playoffs so I'm hoping maybe some didn't renew or they mix in some seats into the selection pool. I'd consider row 3 but people leaning is a big problem up there and I'd like a good view of the game still. I sat row 3 in 418 for a game during the playoffs and noticed that issue.

Another issue is the glass atop the wall in front of Row 1. It isn't very high, but in my field of vision in Row 1 the top edge of the glass runs more or less thru the middle of the ice surface, thus I am looking thru glass to see the near goal but over the glass to see the far goal. It is somewhat annoying. Row 2 has much less of this effect.

Yep that I noticed as well. It would be annoying but I could live with that I think rather than being in a row 2 and having someone's head in the way. I remember in the old 400's they had the bar instead of glass but I presume they got rid of it due to the issue of people leaning in row 1 behind the goal.

I have a new rep that I can't reach. LOL. Has anyone spoken to a rep about when upgrades will take place.

Nothing like getting eliminated, then the next day paying your credit card bill for playoffs and first two payments of next season.

Do the season ticket holders and or plan holders get notice if and when there is an end of season merchandise sale? With the end of the rebook sponsorship I'd love to grab a jersey.
