One thing with Rykov that I noticed even in the last game he played is that he's not a great skater. He's good on his edges, but the foot speed is not great.

If there is still interest in a return to the NHL, I'm not sure it is here. If he can be part of a package, that might be the way to get value from him.

You’re right. He’s not the best in defending in the open ice, but he’s not a python either.
Otherwise I also agree that the time on his chance of becoming a Rangers is running out.

jesus christ Jamie Lundmark has a 14 year old? this makes me feel so old...

Jamie Lundmark is still my biggest draft day disappointment and miss.

There’s not even a close second for me.

Remember when Smith predicted Brendl and Lundmark were going to be the Rangers' version of Bossy and Trottier? Good times!

And Marc Savard not traded, right? yep, better ideas...

I loved Savard as a prospect and young player. I knew the Rangers got an awesome player in 1995.

I wrote a lot about him from 97 onward, and got a lack of pushback for hyping him. But had the site existed in 1995, people would’ve heard even more about him.

I had hopes for Christian Dube, Johan Witehall and Daniel Goneau. Fun times. Sadly Cherneski if he made the team I think would have been a good 3rd line 4th line power forward. Graves would have been a great mentor for him. Stupid Brent Fedyk and Tim Sweeney Prostitute Stevens all useless players and past their prime
