As soon as the Pens stop making the playoffs, there will be a #1 pick waiting for them.
Technically they didn't make the playoffs this year, and they had a chance at the #1 pick. How'd that turn out?

Got Tynan in the leg, but yeah. Pretty sure that incident is what completely threw off Skinner's mental game
Okay---I knew something really serious had happened and I imagine Hunter was pretty shocked by it all and laid back after that. No one in their right mind wants to seriously hurt someone.
A correction will surely be madeTechnically they didn't make the playoffs this year, and they had a chance at the #1 pick. How'd that turn out?![]()
The points are kind of a bonus anyway. He was drafted as a big, raw guy with a lot of physical upside. IIRC the calling cards were good strength, good reach, solid if unspectacular skating, decent first pass, big shot when he gets a chance to use it. The kind of guy you'd want to play with a smaller offense-first LD.IDK if it was the Tynan thing. He had 15 points in his first 14 games. Then he had 7 points in his next 14 games. Then the incident. 2 points in 14 games. Then 7 points in 14. Then 1 point in his last six. He maybe suffered a bit in the immediate aftermath, but almost half of his production came in the first 14 games of the season regardless. I think the reality is he just cooled off.
Yeah, for sure. I think his overall point output was pretty decent given what he possesses. I think it seems somewhat disappointing only because of how hot he started. So, he's an RFA after this (the 20-21) season. You think there's any chance he ever comes back here? My assumption is that he'll stay in Russia where he knows he can be a big part of a good team, rather than try to win a spot in NY.Rykov was promoted to 2nd pair in SCKA first win in their second game of the season against his old team Sochi. Over 17 min of ice time.

I feel like this is a situation where a good front office (which I think the Rangers have) would be asking the agent if he'd be open to being (or prefer to be) traded to another NHL team that's not as deep in D prospects.I feel like he probably sees the writing on the wall.
He didn’t really jump to the front of the pack this season and Miller turning pro throws one more option into the mix for the Rangers. I also think Robertson is a legit dark horse for this upcoming season as well.

Of course, a lot can also change depending on how he performs over the next few months in the KHL, as well.

TBH, I’d give it less than 50% chance at this point. I think his best chance to join will be in the spring 2021 after his CSKA season is over for the remainder of 2020-21 NHL season. Wouldn’t rule out 2021-2022 either but further down the line it will become less and less likely.
If you're looking for free stuff, I'm not aware of anything legal so we can't share it here. KHL had a service that made games available in the US but not sure if they still do.Apologies if it has been asked already, but are there any places out there to stream KHL/SEL games to follow our prospects? Including paid.

SHL stuff I've only found on the illegal sites.
Gotcha, that was basically what I figured. Thanks for replying.
is on hockey dot tv an illegal site?![]()
...If there is still interest in a return to the NHL, I'm not sure it is here. If [Rykov] can be part of a package, that might be the way to get value from him.
