I do not expect Kreider to be on the team though. And I am not sure Chytil has the ability to screen on the PP. He would be better on the side

That's fair. FLA had a great PP last year with 5 LH shots, so the Rangers could effectively run two looks. I think Kreider is not going to be here past the deadline, but I'm thinking it's Names and Smith being bought out that create the space. Like I don't have Kravstov out there either with the RH look.

What do you think of the two alternate PPs?

Kreider
Panarin-Zib-Kakko
Fox

Lias
Kravstov-Buch-Chytil
DeAngelo

Thanks, Brock.

I'm not as high on Keane as most here, and didn't think he did great last year either before or after the trade. His game seemed kind of stagnant before the deal, and regardless of his role, I didn't think he was great after.

Gross, as most here know, I do not care for. Other than being physical, I don't think he brings much. Also, while you didn't mention it, he's undisciplined. He really killed Oshawa in their series against Ottawa. He had the game early in the series where his late penalty led to the GWG, and right after that he took another penalty which led to the insurance goal. And then in the game where they were eliminated, it was Gross again who took a penalty for a hit to the head with like a minute left that allowed the GTG before Ottawa won in OT. I know a lot of Oshawa fans were pissed. If our fans can't forgive Ryan Hollweg, they'd run Gross out of the state.

3-2 to USA vs Sweden in the other game, I’ve seen about half of it. Our goalie isn’t playing, but Nils and Henriksson are playing OK games. Nils is the No 1 D for Sweden and Henriksson centers Raymond and Holts most of the time.

Ended 4-2, unfortunately I think Nils was hurt at the end, didn’t play the last shifts. Fell awkwardly and limped off the ice.

Anyone see what happened to Nils?

Yes, only live and no replay, as I remember it, the puck went behind him and it looked like he wasn’t sure whether to turn left or right almost, or something like that, and then he lost his balance when he turned. I didn’t see him landing on his feet or something like that, but he limped bad.

Nils hit a rut in the ice, his right skate went wobbly like when you used to scooter down a steep hill as a kid. His right leg buckled under him as he fell and quickly got back up. From my POV it seemed like maybe he sprained his ankle or pulled his hammy a bit. He’ll be scratched today and probably be back later in the week.
