Nice I had a $50 for the series win $100 for the sweep bet going and now I don't owe the guy $100. #NotDeadYet

Tonight's game was as much of a Game 7 as Game 5 will be, oui?

There is one simple fact: They have to play better than tonight. Tonight's game hung on Henrik's play and some incredible bone-chilling LUCK. See those goal-line saves. Don't ANYBODY tell me that the Hockey Gods did not favour the Rangers tonight. The skaters did NOT play well.

That is FACT.

We know it was Henrik who got this win.

Where do some players go some games? Where was Brassard tonight. Where did Hagelin's ferocious forecheck go?
Don't blame me for the questions, just too bad they have to be asked.

They're depth players. You can't expect them to put points up on the board every night. That's what you expect your big money players to do...oh wait.

The Rangers have been pinned in their own zone a few times this series making it really worrisome, and not a good way to win many hockey games. But, I'm damn proud of this team for competing and making it this far on depth alone. If this team actually has 1st line players that deserve their paycheck, this series is probably in favor of us, and I guarantee we don't go 7 games every freaking series.

I hate when you get people that say "you only won because of your goalie". We pay him the most money in the league for a goalie so he can be our anchor. Just like the Pens pay Crosby, and the Capitals pay Ovy to put the puck in the net, we pay our goalie that much to keep it out. What's the difference?

The main boards is pissing me off, I really can't go there or else I feel I'll get banned. The IQ of some of those posters is equivalent to a goldfish. We've controlled stretches in this series as well. Not as dominating, but it's not like we're a joke out there like they try to make it seem.

We seem to always have strong first periods. Anyone else think we just get burned out after the first after using our speed and getting hit every time we touch the puck? The team just looks exhausted at times.

It really did end up changing the complexion of this series.

The goal gave the Kings life and then they outplayed the Rangers. Great teams overcome set backs like that. The Rangers didn't. End of story. Stop the excuses. Who cares, anyway. That game is over and in the books. Focus on the next one.

The hockey gods favored the Rangers tonight. They favored the Kings on Monday.

We can talk about what's happened in the series without having it distract us from the next game because guess what? We don't need to focus on the next game. We aren't the players.

I'm not "hating" on girardi by any means but, Whether he's playing bad because of fatigue or injury, It doesn't matter. Either way i think he should be put on the 3rd unit if he can't pick up his game health wise.

At the minutes he plays against who he plays against, his game is still better right now than Moore or Klein or Stralman's would be in the same situation.

This series is depressing.

If these games were reffed like a regular season game, LA would have been on the PK the entire game.

This has been, by far, the most obstruction-filled series we've played. And with a a team that relies on speed like the Rangers, it's completely unfair to call the games this way.

The only adjustment LA has made is to obstruct the entire game.

The officiating team from tonight clearly demonstrated that they are are fine with undramatic transgressions. Clutching enough to slow down a player and negate their advantage is okay by them. Obviously, this favours the team with bigger players against the team with forwards who would like to carry speed.

Should the Rangers try to employ more obstruction themselves or should they just not bother trying to play with fire (they might not do it as well as the Kings who have obviously been well coached in carrying it out effectively) and simply push as hard as they can with their regular game?

Myself, I would not want to see them to try the obstruction game. It just pisses me off so much watching the Kings do it to clear advantage, with the clear sanction of the officials. The NHL is so bush.

Here's the pretty amazing and fairly New York-centric CBC opening montage from tonight ...

to Pearl Jam's "(I'm Still) Alive"

:)

Pretty touching moment for this dad whose 3 kids stopped dead in their tracks when this started playing and my youngest, 7 year old Peyton, started singing along. Didn't even know she knew this song.

Long past her bed time I heard her cheer from her bedroom when she could tell the Rangers won. :')

Even if it was for just one game.

3 Players of the game:
1) Lundvquist
2) Goal Crease Ice
3) Lousy stick manufacturers

Why can't AV put Moore on the first powerplay unit??? Get Richards off of there. Moore probably has the best shot from the point. Could have had another powerplay assist on a nice shot/pass that i believe Brassard redirected but Quick made a nice save.

Stralman needs to be on the first power play unit.

Why would we put a right-handed puck mover who never makes mistakes on the power play in favor of our worst player?

Stralman makes plenty of mistakes.

That amazing play he made to save the goal tonight? Yeah, it only happens because he's not properly covering the passing lane.

It will be interesting to see Girardi's bounce back game on Friday.

Girardi could very well surprise with a bounceback game. Another poster mentioned, and rightfully so, that Danny G. makes a lot of subtle unnoticed plays.
Unfortunately, the bad plays are noticed in direct ratio to the effect.
I'm a fan of Girardi. He needs to calm down, anticipate, and play well positionally. He is a veteran, he knows how to do this.
