As long as Nash is not directly contributing to goals against I consider it a blessing for now. We already have Girardi, J. Moore, and Richards who love to give the puck away in our zone. If being content with Nash's fancy dangles for a few more games means we trade the bum during the offseason along with Beaver's buyout, count me in. I want a gritty forward who can pot 23-25 a season that is trending upwards in exchange for Nash. Maybe recoup a first as well. Anyway, I see good things happening in game 5. LGR! Monkey is off our back now.

Can't blame Girardi entirely for this one. His stick broke. hard not to turn it over with no stick. But he did play poorly regardless.

Na it was just an example of how he is involved in lots of turnovers.. everything he does right now goes the wrong way even if it's something like this he cant really do anything about. He looks like he is lacking confidence.

"Nash is a bum, let's get a 1st and a 25 goal scoring power forward for him!"

Oh you're right, "Nash is worth his $7.8 Mil cap hit" and is scoreless throughout the Stanley Cup Finals! How about the fact that he has never scored a goal in Blue against a starting goaltender in the NHL playoffs! You know, the NHL? The league he was drafted first overall in... A league that has enjoyed seeing him fail for the better half of the past decade.... But wait! He back-checks and looks at the camera all concerned before games leaving us fans hoping for that one playoff game where he collects the puck, and wills his way to the net forcing the puck to cross the line. Get outta here with that ridiculing of my post bro, look at what tin man Gaborik an ex-Ranger has accomplished throughout this postseason, leading NHL goal scorer, with 2x the points and a GTG in game 2.

If Nash sucks as much as you say he does then nobody is going to give us a young talented power forward and and a first round pick for him. Either he's valuable or he's not.

He does suck that much, and nobody is gonna give us a young talented power forward and and a first round pick for him. Nice to see him lay out a few hits last night though. Rick Nash is a waste of cap space not roster space, he still serves a purpose. But He should be payed half hi salary to make it ok.

Stepan with the play of the night...my god how close that was!

Girardi? Get that man of the PP asap...he looks really tired, gets beaten over and over.

That single play saved our season. It deserves to be recognized as such.

Think you missed his point...that single play means NOTHING if Hank doesn't come up HUGE after that.

Man, that was some puck luck. It was. Not afraid to admit that. Sometimes you make your own luck though, and I certainly am one to believe that the Rangers and Lundqvist deserved those rolls.

Garden atmosphere was great last night. Even in the third where the Rangers didn't do ****. I can't believe I was in the Garden for a Rangers winning SCF game. That's just awesome

For the most part, I thought the Rangers played a smart game. It wasn't necessarily a good game, but it was a smart game.

It's funny, Richards actually slows down that fourth line

Now we just have to get LA back on a plane to NY. One game at a time here.

LGR

Win game 5 and there will be game 7

Lundqvist is unbeatable at home

Lundqvist's record in last 8 elimination games at MSG:
8-0, .968 sv%, 0.98 GAA.

The Rangers need to be much better. The Rangers played better in LA than they did at home. If the Rangers can generate any offense, they have a chance. LA shuts down the middle of ice. The Rangers are stuck on the outside. They need to get inside.

Lundqvist is very good in elimination games

Henrik Lundqvist when facing elimination since 2012 playoffs: 11-2, 1.30 GAA, .959 save pct..Game 5 is Friday in Los Angeles

Can someone score a few goals? One of these players get on a decent run.

The Rangers got the puck luck and won a game they should have lost. As far as I am concerned they are breaking even with game three.

Now they just need a make-up series turning call for the blunder in game 2 and all is forgiven. :sarcasm:

Really though, the Kings are the better team even though the Rangers have played well against them at times. I don't think that is unfair to say. They are better coached, more experienced and deeper. Look at how they toe the line between defense and interference. They know exactly what they can get away with. Call it cheap or illegal but it is a huge advantage for them against a team whose strength is blowing by defenders with speed and creating a sustained forecheck by being the first one to the puck. The Kings have completely negated the Rangers biggest advantage for long stretches. If they continue to take that away the Rangers are going to have to get creative or eventually it will bite them in the ass.

The difference between the first two games and the last two is the Kings adjusting to the Rangers strengths. They can't win this scoring 2 goals or less for the next 3 games. If they can't find a way to adjust then start selling the interferences like Nash did. If the Kings want to take that gamble, help them lose on it.

The powerplay is the same old story. Stack the blue line, pressure the points, force turnovers, take away the cross ice pass. The Rangers have no answer for it. McDonagh is the only pointmen talented and confident enough to handle the pressure and not force plays. Stepan is infuriating on the PP. Richards is just plain bad. The zone entry is a joke.

It's going to take more than being a good road team to keep this series alive, I hope they figure something out.

He has the balls to go out and say this after all the lucky bounces they have had? A game gifted to them by the refs? Then say the ice is bad? The ice in Staples Center is like a frozen ****ing pond. Give me a break, you big headed ugly ****.

I wonder if this will change the minds of anyone who was talking about how the Kings have a "championship mentality" compared to the Rangers "fragile ego." I heard this point brought up time after time on the main boards... but its a lot easier to seem composed when you get the W

It was Henrik's best game of the series. It was also the worst game for the rest of the team by a pretty good margin. Kings have been more the lucky team until last night. Last night we were lucky.

Some nitwit Kings fan coming here last night *****ing about uncalled slashes to Carter and pucks not going over the goal line. His determination that we should accept that his team is the better team when they win the Cup on friday--which may happen and which may not. Forgets about the very obvious but uncalled for too many men on the ice last night--also doesn't consider that Zuccarello and Brassard had pucks to the goal line picked out of the air by Quick's stick in the previous game or the lack of a call on an already shorthanded Kings team when one of their players threw the puck out of the arena. And then there was the Dwight King goal.

Anyway I agree pretty much with RangerBoy's assessment up above. Win on friday and there's a pretty good chance it's going 7. The key is to win on friday. One game at a time. The Kings haven't got the same level of desperation that our team has. Another win and our team has the momentum.

It's sad that we can't hit the net. LA board is focused on, "we outshot them 50-1," and they're right! Our chances need to be near the net to go in!

Odds are that we will be royally raiped in G5. That will be an extremely tough game.

However, win that one game...

Stating the obvious...the best team doesn't always win the cup. If a team has a hot goaltender, it's an equalizer. Let's see what happens on Friday. If AV was smart, he would play a defensive minded game to shorten the clock and keep the score 2-1 or 1-0.

If I'm LA, I'd be looking to push the play to Girardi's right side as much as possible. Looks like he has a flat right tire.

Well we've established that hank is clutch

We've also proven we have no clue once we cross the blue line.

If I'm la, I'm not really afraid of any team that looks like it's scared to score a goal.

Hank stole a game and he may need to a few more times for this to continue. ..

Rangers forwards stopped playing

Girardi. ...awful

After they scored that first goal it's like the whole offense shut down. Thinking they had some flashbacks of games one and two and considered the game over before it really was.

Pretty much this. He doesn't suck, but at this point, he's not worth his contract. We have far more vital players that need to be kept and we may not be able to do so without dumping Nash. I think it's far more important to get Staal AND Stralman, Zucc AND Brassard under contract, then keeping Nash (not to mention, D. Moore & Boyle).

Look at the kings. We are built very similarly. The only thing we're missing is a Kopitar.

4 Good lines. A better defense probably 1-6 and a great goalie (who is easily better then Quick as well).

If this team could save 4 mil and bring in a 20 goal scorer who is a hard worker, it would be a smart move. He won't be Nash and it will come with its lumps, but at this point, he's not worth his contract and we need some of that money to put towards the guys who really got us here.

just win game 5 and make LA nervous to **** up.

my g4 stars:

hank
stralman
stepan

HM: Nash

keep hitting like that. it's helping.
