The rangers could figure out the kings late like our 2012 team did. We didn't play bad in the first two games but somehow found ourselves down 0-2 thanks to two OT losses. The kings aren't a pretty team but they get results.

I'm fearful that this is our one shot.

I can't blame Hank. I just can't. I wish the ref made the right call on that play. I wish Kreider buried that breakaway. I wish Zucc didn't shoot it 100 feet high on that wrap around. I wish...I wish a lot. I don't know how anybody can post anything reasonable right now. I guess we gotta take both at MSG and then see what happens.

No, I can't believe that this is our one shot. Nobody expected us to go this deep. This was a transition year for us. Lots of band aids and patchwork players on our roster. They have over achieved.

I don't think we win this series.

Teams were evenly matched but LA has home ice. All the pressure is on the Rangers now to win 2 at home and they're not exactly world-beaters at home.

I might feel different if we win Monday, but as of right now who knows.

Also, just in case my view is not clear, referees clearly cost us this game and anybody complaining about the team itself is nuts.

You see this is how NHL works. Once the series is 3-0 Kings, they will hand us 1 or 2 games with tons of makeup calls (to make the series appear less fishy) before the series is over. I've seen this movie before.

Kreider could have scored on the breakaway or put in Nash's rebound.

Zuccarello could have buried the wraparound instead of mailing it over the net.

Game should have never even gone to OT without the borderline third goal by the Kings.. but the Rangers had chances to put this one away and didn't.

I really don't understand the "tons of chances" line of thinking! Chances are just that, and don't negate legitimate goals!

I'm not convinced that King's goal not being called would have assured this win. Rangers again stopped moving their feet all third period. It's another game, from my perspective, that we lost for ourselves, getting caught watching, chasing, and fear the Kings' heavy forecheck.

Just need to battle back here, 1 game at a time. Need to take the next 2 at home and go back to LA tied 2-2.

This game REALLY aggravated me because I felt it got taken away from us. They make that call and we win in regulation, series tied 1-1.

Uh, it's called momentum.

im not sure how i feel about richards being scratched next game but for the love of god his play tonight warranted a benching at some point. he should not have played after the 3rd period.

I want more replays of that non-call on the delay of game. I have no idea how that linesman could have been so emphatic about that puck hitting the glass where on three replays I still couldn't see it.

Still don't think it hit the glass.

The NHL needs to set a precent that missed calls like that won't be tolerated. There needs to be some accountability. If a referee is going to miss a call that directly effects the outcome of a game in the SCF, the referee needs to be fired. Don't care about his reputation or his experience. Referees need to know that blatant missed calls like that on the biggest stage will not be tolerated.

Love AV, but Sutter has outcoached him thus far, IMO.

Richards has to be taken off the point. It absolutely HAS to happen. It almost cost us 3-4 times.

Definitely. In the OT he was on the point... what happens if the puck goes the other way? There's no way he's getting back there.

Put someone who can skate on the backline: John Moore, Stralman...

Nobody is saying it would have assured the win (or shouldn't be) but being up 4-2 with 18 minutes left is very different than 4-3.

Yeah, the big picture is what makes this hurt. First SCF in 20 years and we took both road games to OT, had 2 goal leads in both.. hell, could easily be going back to NY up 2 games to 0. The Kings haven't led for a single second in this series!

Yet, NYR are down 0 games to 2. One better shot from Kreider or Zucc and they are at least going back tied. It's just such a missed opportunity.. and to have been so close and end up losing both games really sucks. What if this is the only time they get to the finals in the Lundqvist era?

Now this I agree with.

Just roll two D back there not named Girardi and tell them 'bombs away'

The issue there is that our defense except McD are incapable of "bombing away." I have never seen a group of defensemen that have so much trouble getting pucks on net. Inaccurate ****ing gorillas.

I blame the bs call but I also blame Kreider for not putting the puck in the net on that breakaway

Same ****ing shot

It didn't hit the glass.

Even Pierre and Eddie could see it didn't.

Just another example of the officials making whatever calls they feel like regardless of what the actual rules are.
