Hosed again. Rangers are beating themselves

Turnovers, mistakes, missing chances... blowing leads

How long can u keep this up and expect to win a series?

Rangers have to find a way to hold a lead

How do you compare an interference call in the crease with a guy sitting on the goaltender while the puck is shot into an open net to an obstruction call on a puck shot in the corner...please

Well for starters I didn't. The interference call was the worst call of the entire night and changed the game. If you read what I was replying to it was the puck over the glass non call. Bad break, but Rangers got some breaks in OT as well was my only point.

When they used the NBCITEE whatever cam, you could see the puck go from Martinez's stick, directly over the glass. Doesn't hit Boyle, his stick or the glass.

Then LA scores 30 seconds later. It's just so depressing.

Yep. On the replay from the NBCEE it camera, the puck travels in a straight line and doesn't change direction. That means that it never touched a stick or the glass.

Tom Renney as Oilers HC: NHL wants Hollywood.....

I know he wasn't the most popular guy around here, but I really liked him as Rangers coach.

I can remember him being asked about calls in the Buffalo series in 2007. He said it's because "we're the New York Rangers". LOVED the guy for that comment.

Also, if anything, this team's core will be fairly intact next year. Hell, three of our biggest pieces are still just kids (McDonagh, Kreider, Stepan).

There's no guarantee we'll get this close again, but we're going to be quite good for the foreseeable future.

Consider this. Scott Driscoll who has a part in the "embellishment" calls against the flyers, decided he really needed to hug Carcillo and was looking right at Prust when the laid out Stepan and said nothing, was picked to ref in the finals. Thats all you need to know about ref accountability.

It was Kevin Pollock the referee--who said he saw Prust hit Stepan and thought it was a good hit. He's a little ****ed up. Driscoll worries about Carcillo when Prust is wailing on Dorsett. The other linesman can handle all that. One of the strangest things I've ever seen an NHL linesman do.

I agree, but when you trade what we did for MSL and lose a game that should've ended 4-3 us in regulation, it's awful.

And look at the Nats in baseball: young core full of talent and they've been subpar the past 2 years after making the POs.

That's the problem, you don't know when or if we'll ever get back here again.

I feel bad for Rangers fans that bought their tickets. They didnt deserve to watch this shi**show refereeing.

Here is the problem........none of this matters. Tomorrow morning when everyone wakes up the Rangers will be down 0-2. 5 years from now nobody will recall the BS reffing, or the fact that LA won 2 games without ever leading them. They will remember who won and who lost. The Tangers will remember the opportunity they squandered when 6 years go by and they have not made it back to the finals. That's about it.

I blame the bs call but I also blame Kreider for not putting the puck in the net on that breakaway

Same ****ing shot

Did you not see the replay where he was tripped? Another missed call. :shakehead

True, but it's also not like he's a rental. He'll be here next year.

And this series still isn't over, so there's also that.

Just trying to be as positive as I can at this point.

It took 20 years to get here... this could be our only chance

It didn't hit the glass.

Even Pierre and Eddie could see it didn't.

Just another example of the officials making whatever calls they feel like regardless of what the actual rules are.

This... You call that right and were on a power play with a chance to win it...

Couple that with the "interference" penalty on pouliot that just so happened to be the same play against Lundquist that resulted in a goal for the kings...

Refs blew this game and the kings know it. Good thing is if the kings keep playing hockey like this then they aren't winning any more games.

Yes Pollock said he saw the play. But if you watch the replays you see a linesman near center ice looking directly at the play, thats Driscoll. Pollock is trailing. Driscoll had the best view of it and by NHL rules (major infraction) was supposed to tell the ref afterwards and said nothing.

Well, he was tripped and supposed to get a penalty shot on that if the refs didnt have their heads up their *****.
