That missed call for their 3rd goal was the game changer and flipped the momentum.

However Lundqvist let that goal bother him far too long and I think made him lose focus. He needed to forget about it.

I agree that they're not exactly saves he should be expected to make, but we NEED him to unflappable.

let me be clear that I am not blaming him in any way - he is one of our last problems on these games. Just think it would have been nice of he pulled a crazy save out of his ass for this one.

Seems like a lot to ask from a guy who has bailed us out time and time again. And he bailed us out tonight, too. The play of our defenseman, I'd say all of them outside of Stralman right now, in our own zone is ridiculously awful. Turnovers, bad stick-checking, etc.. They're leaving Hank out to dry and he's done nothing but give us a chance to win both of the games in LA. I have a strange feeling he'll do the same in NY.

I'm just sitting on my chair literally just staring at my computer screen.

I don't even want to know how the players feel.

I'm going to be cursing Dan O'Fatso's name for a very, very long time if (probably) lose this series.

I don't think we win this series.

Teams were evenly matched but LA has home ice. All the pressure is on the Rangers now to win 2 at home and they're not exactly world-beaters at home.

I might feel different if we win Monday, but as of right now who knows.

Also, just in case my view is not clear, referees clearly cost us this game and anybody complaining about the team itself is nuts.

There's no way that AV does it due to concerns about morale, but I would totally sit Brad for Miller for the rest of the series.

JT makes some bad turnovers, but they're no worse that Richards' and at least they're turnovers of effort and aggressiveness, not... uh... blatant failure. And he brings more physicality, more speed and more overall dynamism.

And by the way, how much do I wish I could get a feed with Sam and Joe calling the games?

I'm fearful that this is our one shot.

I can't blame Hank. I just can't. I wish the ref made the right call on that play. I wish Kreider buried that breakaway. I wish Zucc didn't shoot it 100 feet high on that wrap around. I wish...I wish a lot. I don't know how anybody can post anything reasonable right now. I guess we gotta take both at MSG and then see what happens.

Gonna get reamed, but I agree, to an extent.

He needs to SHUT THE DOOR. Like in game 7 against the Pens. It just needs to happen. Yes, these goals against him are tough to stop, but they're all gonna be tough to stop at this point. We're in the Cup Finals, we need him to be our superstar.

I really think he should have been able to cover up on the fourth goal myself.

Eh, puck deflected off a Ranger into Lundqvist, then the rebound pinballed around until it found Gaborik's stick. Just bad luck there. The Kings have been scoring a ton these playoffs, they're good at screening goalies and creating their breaks. I felt Lundqvist played a strong game tonight overall considering the circumstances.

That said, this team needs to get over these calls quicker. Whining minutes after the calls happened aren't going to change a damn thing. You're mad? Good, go out there and show it during play.

Just win 1 so Keith Jones has to explain why the series is coming back to LA.

Face it. What this team needs to beat L.A. was J.T. Miller to become Kreider lite during the season and he didn't do it yet. Richards looks like an ancient fossil. Miller better get it done next year. This team has a 4-5 year window with Hank. He's in amazing shape.

Obviously they need to buyout Brad. But Step is the real issue from a roster standpoint. He isn't a #1 center.

I don't know what the Rangers can do about their center problems. Miller/Lindberg help the bottom six. But, that isn't the massive problem. The Rangers need to address the top 2 C.

This game has literally sapped me of all hope.

I'm still just. Gutted.

The NHL is a such a joke, they will never own up to the awful officiating. Dan O'Halloran will probably get a raise.

Got beat by the black and white tonight, but it wasn't the kings. That single call has made a HUGE change on the SCF....It's really a shame that a coach can't have a least 1 flag to review a call like that....not regular pens. but game deciders like that.

Oh, and poor job by AV putting the Richards line on against Kopitar's line.

Love AV, but Sutter has outcoached him thus far, IMO.

Richards has to be taken off the point. It absolutely HAS to happen. It almost cost us 3-4 times.

o'Halloran is worthy of Potvin treatment at this point. His name should be mocked at The Garden forevermore.

How you can look at one play and see a penalty--then look at a more extreme example of it--that leads to a goal because you don't call a penalty. I mean--here's O'Halloran--he has his bosses too. Maybe he's a complete kiss ass--maybe he's not but admitting such a crucial mistake in a Stanley Cup final game?--he might never referee another one of them again. And if he were to admit he made a mistake then his boss has made a mistake too by putting his sorry ass in the game in the first place.

Integrity never had a place in all of this and has never existed IMO when it comes to NHL officiating.

Maybe his bosses told him to call the game a certain way.
