Vince said fracture, and since he still played like 4 more periods on it its probably a hairline fracture. Sliver of hope he would be back for a game 7 but best bet would be next round.

Seeing six-to-eight weeks for typical recovery of a hairline fracture. Call it four weeks because he's a pro and has Jim Ramsay on it. Puts return at first week of June.

If Montreal can beat teams better then they are last year, we can do it this year. Looking at the 8 remaining teams in the P/O, I think we are the underdog against anyone but EDM. That is fine, much less pressure. Pressure really is on CAR to rattle Igor, hopefully they get frustrated and do dumb stuff.

f*** the NHL for scheduling a 3:30pm playoff game on a Sunday. Seriously, f*** that.
The other game on Sunday is at 1:30.

I bet they did it because the NBA game is at night.

NHL/NBA have the same TV partners. They aren't going to schedule on top of each other this late in the playoffs.

Yup excactly how I see it. Even losing I'll be pissed and upset but honestly this year is an experience year. Laff and Kakko with Chytil getting valuable games, pressure isnt to win the cup but play as best as they can.
I actually like canes fans too so topics wont be full of whining thankfully

One good thing about this series is that the national media HATES both teams. There's going to be no narrative.

Talking with a Canes fan friend who is deathly afraid of the Rangers. He thinks Shesterkin steals Game 1 or 2, the Ranger special teams dominate Game 3 or 4 (because Carolina does take an awful lot of DUMB penalties, especially if you can get them running around), and then it turns into a best of 3 crapshoot.

He really afraid of the Ranger PP and that the Canes PK which has been so good is going to eventually crack under pressure.

Part of what went into making 94 great is we had Sam and JD the entire playoffs. Now in an effort to make everything all-inclusive we are going to have to watch coverage from hell.

Honestly, I don't care if the announcer loves/hates the Rangers, I just want two people that know the game and don't make it a drag to listen to. 90% of the play by play and commentary is f***ing horrible.

The Canes will be favorites and rightly so but they are beatable. Boston just took them to a game 7 and lost by 1 goal so lets not make Carolina out to be the mid 80's Oilers. We were also tied for 1st with them about 2 weeks before the regular season ended. I think we will defend them better than Pitt tbh. They throw a lot of pucks on net but I think Pitt was able to get to the high danger areas more often. If Shesty is regular season Shesty and we continue to sit Nemeth then we have a chance. I do hope people including the Canes continue to think we have no shot.
