There's an immediate different feeling with teams. Pittsburgh beat us badly with simple hockey... Down low and in the middle.

Boston showed me they are beatable. They looked pedestrian on the road. Taking Game 1 would be monumental

Pitt was a bad matchup for us. I never wanted to play them. The way they create opportunities down low and cycle and pressure with their Dmen. We had a really tough time with that. Carolina likes to throw a lot of shots on net but the scoring chances may not be as lethal as Pitt. They also don't have a Crosby and all the pressure is on them. We are playing with house money and we have a shot but Shesty has to be Vezina Shesty.

An extra day of rest is great, we are beat up. I don't think we can play worse than we did at times against the Pens. Losing guys mid series clearly affected the team. But for now, rest, reset and move on.

I am going to be brutally honest. I don't expect us to win this series. I think Carolina is genuinely a very strong team and could potentially go to the finals.

Losing to Pitt would have been really frustrating because I went into the series really believing we were just a better team than they are.

If we lose to Carolina but the kids play well I'll survive.

2. They are good defensively. But we know Skjei, Smith and Tony can be liabilities. Smith and Tony especially with penalties
3. If the Staal line is against Mika then Bread Strome and Copp better sit in the cryotank until Wed to heal up.
4. Please don't dress Reaves. Motte Rooney Brodz could give us an advantaged against their 4th line.

The good news here is that the team should not have any pressure. We made it past round one in game 7 OT, that should give our guys some confidence and boost. I also think the underdog role suits this team well.
