I think Hunt needs to draw back in too. need all the board work we can get against this damn team. Motte and Hunt combined could probably make Rooney useful.

I just think we need to start the correct people. Reaves had a purpose against Pitt. He left a mark. He probably won't be able to catch up to the Canes to hit them. We need Hunt and Motte together. That would make line 4 fun to watch. We rely on the top 6 WAY too much 5v5. Those minutes need to be distributed better. If the bottom 6 was Laf-Chytl-Kakko and Motte Rooney Hunt we've got a shot.

Vince said fracture, and since he still played like 4 more periods on it its probably a hairline fracture. Sliver of hope he would be back for a game 7 but best bet would be next round.

What we witnessed in the Pens series is only going to get worse with Carolina as they are more dogged and as a team they are faster than the Pens.

It was his first playoff series in the NHL.

Team D was also atrocious in every 'bad' game he had.

I've been Rooney's staunchest defender here but Motte, Goodrow, Blais, and players like them are the kind of 4th line talent we need if we want to be able to compete without shortening the bench substantially.

Rooney, Hunt, Reaves are 'extras' on a Stanley Cup quality team.

However this season ends up I hope Drury is able to save our depth.

thanks for the correction, i wasn't totally sure. really hope he'll be available at some point, he'd be a welcomed addition to the PK/as 4th line C

Carolina is definitely a better team then the pens are. However it will be so nice to not have to play against the pens and the refs

Well, if Goodrow gets healthy, I do think either he or Rooney sits.
