I'm just as annoyed as everyone else with the ugly performance, sans the first 10 minutes, tonight. But we are not guaranteed a first round exit. It's highly likely, but let's cheer the boys on!

Cally got reamed by HFNYR after last game and he's the hero tonight! Ugly goal, Dan Ellis=LOL but it happened so here we are.

Fingers crossed Clowe isn't done, but he looked like he was so gone when he was being carried off. So not good.

Depending on whether or not you assume Ottawa will get points in their remaining games. Earlier in the season, NHL.com and TSN weren't assuming that. Now they are. Funny.

they have two games remaining to our one and they are in 6th place right now because of GP so yeah i think the rangers are in 7th

All I was saying was that earlier in the year, those sites were using the actual tiebreakers as tiebreakers. Now they aren't. It really doesn't matter.

I can't believe Torts thought we played well tonight. Having a few breakaway chances does not take away from horrendous plays leading to 2 on 1s. MDZ with a horrific pinch with nobody to cover him, then blindly throws it into the middle.

Rangers have a 4 on 1 at the boards, lose the puck, and it's gone the other way.

Terrible coverages all over the place. Henrik had to make some really great stops tonight.

I don't think they played NEARLY desperate enough, especially in that 2nd period.

Let's stay positive and look at it this way... the Rangers probably couldn't have played worse (especially during the worst times) this entire season, and they still made the playoffs and are tied for the 6th seed.

Agreed.

Now, if Miller was the player recalled, I might think differently.

Good point. Fingers crossed on Clowe, a player like him is a huge asset in the playoffs.

Just want to say no matter how pessimistic we all are (after we came out flat in the second and eventually went down 3-2 I worked myself up so badly that I had a migraine) it's still good to be in the playoffs. Remember last year's slogan (which the Islanders are using now) just BELIEVE!

The first 2 periods our play was the same. Terrible. We came out the lucky ones in the first, Carolina in the 2nd. It's amazing how blind people can be because of the score. Thinking we played good in the first? Good lord.

Our 3rd period was definitely an improvement, but not enough to get rid of the bad taste in my mouth.

It's truly like some of these guys have nothing going on in their heads. Hagelin, Zuccarello and a few others were the only players that looked like they cared.

I'm kinda stunned people thought the Rangers were that bad.

They **** up a lot of chances. But they got a lot more chances than they did, even, Tuesday.

I thought the teams were pretty even in the first. I also thought that they vastly outplayed the Hurricanes in the 2nd and 3rd.

Congrats on making the playoffs, obviously disappointing end to the season for Jets fans. Wish you best of luck vs Boston or Pittsburgh!

yup.....its because they are young and hungry. Where were the "Veteran Stars" of this team that make 4, 5, 6 Million a year?

That's right.......i thought so:sarcasm::D

that's a pretty F'ing Positive Way to Look at it.

I'm usually pretty pessimistic with this team.....but I like this:nod:

Richards tied the game
Callahan scored the game winner
lundqvist looked good in OT for that stretch

Only player really is Nash but he had chances

Oh and hamorilk was scratched :sarcasm:

So Richards' goal wasn't actually an accident, that's what they try to do every game while constantly shooting pucks wide.

Glad to be in playoffs, no more being concerned with winning draft lottery (along with, of course, being in the show).
