Congratulations on making the playoffs!!

I have two questions:

--Who stood out for the 'Canes tonight, good and bad?
--What is the biggest area where the 'Canes can improve, in your opinion?

Thanks for your answers!

Tlusty was good aside from his goals, I thought. Jordan Staal did a good job on the PK and whenever I saw him.

Defense. You guys need that true #1D, although Faulk is really good and impressed me as well. That will move everyone into their proper roles. Also need to fill out your bottom 6, although as I understand it, Riley Nash is your guys' 3C but got sent down so that he could play in the AHL playoffs. That's a good start. I think your team is too top heavy, but it's fixable.

I was about ready to punch 9 holes in my living room wall.

What a finish. But even better, they dominated tonight (rightfully so). Real frustrating to watch every mistake hit the back of the net.

Clowe injury is gonna hurt a bit more than some on here would believe. Depth is back to shaky.

Good: Tlusty was tremendous. Great two-way player, can't believe the Canes got him for Phillipe ****ing Paradis. Gleason/Faulk also played well, I thought, but Faulk plays well every night. One of the best-kept secrets in the league. Skinner looked good as well, IMO.

Bad: Ellis on the last two goals was embarrassing.

There really isn't much to improve upon with that roster, to be frank. You guys had 7 legitimate NHL caliber forwards in the lineup. 5 of them being very good, but the Canes desperately need depth...at EVERY position. Even with Semin IN the lineup, your team's depth seems to be a huge problem.

I thought the Canes played hard and were forechecking very well tonight, but had too many defensive breakdowns at bad times.

Here is what I am relieved about............if Columbus gets Seth Jones, it will be with their own lottery pick.

3 words.........

Torts Must GO!!!

Nuff Said:nod:

As far as who we play.....i'd like the Bruins. As far as the Pens go....is Crosby not ready for the PO's?
Just no CAPs for me.....give us a year off against them:handclap:

Glad to hear I'm not the only one. Usually I get less upset with missing the playoffs knowing that this organization will actually get a higher pick in the process. This season, however, I had no such thoughts to ease my troubles.

I would have been livid if Columbus picked in a good position with our first rounder.

Here's the main thing you need to improve on. Get more defensive D. Corvo, Pitkanen, Faulk, Sanguinetti, McBain. These guys are all the same. Harrison is slightly different. If you're going to compete in the new division, you're going to need another guy like Gleason. Too much puck moving, not enough excellent defenders.

Our biggest concern now is getting healthy. Getting Staal, Dorsett and Clowe back could be the shot in the arm that this team needs to compete.

Regardless, still great to be in. Crossing my fingers and hoping that we can avoid Pittsburgh in the first round.

the rangers are going to have a tuff time in the playoffs.

Don't kid yourself guys, this style of play the rangers are playing is so easily beatable.

How they won tonight is beyond me, Rangers got really lucky tonight.

This team looks like they don't understand the concept of fore check. Carolina was able to get the puck out of there zone with ease tonight, with 2 ranger players in on the fore check.

I hate to compare last years team but either these guys don't understand the system fully or these players are not that good at forechecking ... and thats our bread and butter with torts system.

If this is not corrected we are gonna get washed in the playoffs.

I understand playoff teams are losing to non playoff teams right now but carolina had odd man rush after odd man rush all night (2nd goal on ) That has to be corrected

Also ryan clowe loss is HUGE
