It wasn't pretty but who cares?

The seriousness of the Clowe injury (?) is a bit disconcerting.

We can put Biron against the Devils on Thursday--rest Clowe if he needs it and not worry about whether or not to rush Staal back into the lineup.
 
Gotta say though, suck we have to wait another season to watch Steps hit a 75+ point season. The most exciting thing this year has been how much he (and Zucc while we're at it) have improved.
 
I know this won't change anything but the "game's over" posts in the GDT when there are 19 minutes left in the third are ridiculous and contribute nothing to the discussion of the game.

Three goals on six shots in the final two periods? They were good shots, but he's got to do better on goals 2 and 3. Seemed like the few glaring mistakes the Rangers made, the puck ended up behind Lundqvist.

Granted, he did make a couple big saves in the OT, and in the first.

At least they got in, and they did it in a place they don't usually win in front of my fellow North Carolina Ranger fans.

I don't think any of us are being unrealistic. I personally think that if they play at their best, they have a shot at it all -- but realistically do I expect that with their persistent problems with consistency? No.

Just excited to know for sure that this team is in the playoffs. Huge weight off the shoulders. I totally understand being pessimistic with this team's performance in the last almost two decades -- but jesus, that really can't be fun from the perspective of being a fan. At the very least it means you get to watch two more weeks of your favorite team playing hockey and as a HOCKEY fan, you should be happy for that at the very least. And its playoff hockey -- the best type.
 
I'm honestly not even excited about the playoffs, I'm excited that the Devils don't have the chance to end our season now :laugh:

I was about to post before OT how hank needed to step his **** up.

He did in OT.

Horrible game still and I have a headache from it. Don't think a team could deserve to be in the playoffs less then the rangers

Does anyone know when the first playoff game will be and where we can view it? Bill Pidto missed it in his commentary.

Last year was fun, and exciting from pretty much game one to game 82, and the entire playoffs.

It's even pretty fun and exciting when a team has low expectations and squeaks in. However this team underachieved all year, played with little heart and was all around a huge disappointment, and I don't expect anything else in the playoffs either. So no, not much about this year has been fun or exciting, not to mention the lockout. Excuse me for being in the extreme minority at the moment.

Oh haha, sorry! I flipped to the NFL draft right when the game ended so I wasn't watching; and of course it wouldn't surprise me if Pidto did actually forget to mention those facts :laugh:
