I have no problem with Karlsson winning it but it is what it is.

The Trophy is (supposed to be) awarded to the defenseman who had the best season. Scoring 100 points on a shit team isn't an arbitrary number. But if we are playing that game, he scored 25 points more than the next defenseman, Josh Morrissey, who had 76. Fox was 8th in scoring for defensemen, and you think Fox deserves to be a Norris candidate and that Karlsson doesn't because you think outscoring your peers by a country mile and reaching a significant landmark and scoring the most points by a defenseman in 30 years is "arbitrary". Ok.

Points is not the barometer for the Norris Trophy. It’s given to the best all-around defenseman. There are very few defenseman in the NHL who combine Fox’s transition game, offensive prowess, and defensive structure. He’s an absolute stud and 10x the defenseman Erik Karlsson is. It’s not supposed to be given to the defenseman with the most points. If it was last year it would’ve went to Roman Josi - who, ironically, is a two way stud.

This I'll agree with. Deep rooted organizational failures that preceded Dolan owning the team.

The longer this goes on, the more I think Drury is trying to get both Laviolette and Hynes on the staff. I wouldn't mind Lavi as the head guy if Hynes is the defensive and PK assistant and Knoblauch the offense and PP assistant.
