Happy for a win, but it really isn’t. Montreal didn’t do themselves any favors, they’ve played awful this season and lost 5-1 last game to the Sabres. It’s more about Montreal looking bad than it is us playing well. Bad game from both teams overall

The fact that everyone wants to defend Nils when he gets walked or plays like complete nervous trash and that when K’Andre has 2 bad shifts in one period out of 9 despite looking great in every other shift, everyone jumps on him immediately.

They have both been not great. Miller especially. Nils gets a bit more grace as a rookie. K’Andre isn’t.

Miller needs some AHL time. He’s been out of position. He has made some poor choices with the puck. He isn’t the player we saw last year,

I think he will be fine long term.

Mostly positive from our D except the brainfart for the goal against when both got caught behind the net. Our forecheck was better, too. Happy with the result but shoulda been a shut-out for Shesty

Why does Kreider have like no votes? 3 goals in 3 games, his presence infront of the net is the only reason we've been able to score except for that 2 on 1 tonight with Laffy which was amazing and great to see.

Happy for Lafreniere and he definitely had some extra jump in his step tonight. Let’s hope his confidence keeps growing.

Fingers crossed Kakko’s injury isn’t serious. Panarin might be playing through something, he looks off.

One note, I thought the defense looked mostly impressive tonight. There seems to be more control and structure. Even shifts where we are pinned it never feels like a complete shit show fire drill the same way it always did the last few years. I really like Nemeth as a 3LD and on the PK and shortening the bench to Fox-Lindgren and Nemeth-Trouba when protecting a lead makes a ton of sense.

Nemeth deserves an honorable mention tonight. He helped lock things down while Trouba was still having PTSD from what KAM tried to do to him tonight.

K’Andre and Nils are the same age. Miller looked great up until that 3rd period and hasn’t been playing defense as long as Nils has. Yet there’s no hate for Nils, but people are so quick to call K’Andre dumb and AHL worthy

The defense has been fine these 3 games, the only thing that is really killing us is turnovers in the neutral zone leading to odd man rushes and blind passes from forwards leading to excess D zone time and penalties.

Reaves and Blais have been consistently the best effort and energy. Great on the forecheck and drawing penalties. Too bad the idiots can't convert.

I wanted to vote for them and Trouba too. But just not enough votes.

Mika turned it up, two big set ups, and was huge in holding the puck in the zone eating up time which then led to the Rooney goal. Should have gotten 3 assists tonight.

Not sure how much time he got, but Reaves was absolutely solid.

Reaves is about as good as it gets for the type of player he is. It’s night and day when you compare him to other tough guys like Haley or McLeod. Reaves is legitimately like Panarin compared to them.

Igor was unreal. Stole the game. For how bad the defense played on the 1GA, McKegg literally skated right by the guy in front into no mans land.

Easily Lafs best game. Zibs finally woke up in the 3rd and looked like the galloping workhorse we've come to love.

We suck at faceoffs again

Lundkvist is tiny and green.

We really need some middle6 talent. HAVE TO CALL UP BARRON. It will be weird AF if Kravtsov plays next game

Our PP was much better with 1 more LHS. The one-timers were bad but they looked better overall.

Fox is unequivocally our best player.

McKegg and (surprisingly) Chytil were the only two guys winning faceoffs this game. Zib had a good game overall, but he got straight up abused at the dot.
