3-2 in that stretch is a massive win.
I don't really care about the records. Obviously wins would be great but we've all watched this game long enough to know that doesn't always happen. Just play well, way better than they have been playing for the last 2 weeks.
Tired or not, there is no reason for any team to get outplayed by the f***ing Coyotes.

Yeah I guess you are right. I mean what is so special about moving into first place in the east anyway? I'm so depressed. LOLNo we need to be depressed about this mid december game where we won and act as if it has any bearing on anything that might happen come April
I don’t why people are so fixated on Kravtsov, he showed nothing in his cup of coffee in the NHL, and he doesn’t want to be here.We also need Kravtsov back, or an equivalent, and we need another young top center.
Covid will never go away, it's a type of an influenza virus. We will probably get a shot of vaccine every year.I’m quite uninterested in ever seeing this

If he was so good other teams would be burning Drury’s phone up.
He snubbed this team.
Let him rot in the KHL

There was a german doctor that said that the omnicron variant could be a good sign for the end of the pandemic considering that, at the time, it hadn't kill anyone.
Anyway I hope everyone get their shot to end this nightmare rather sooner than later.
Those never got tô the pandemic level, thanks god for that. This seems more like the spanish flu, eventually people will get immunity and every now on then they will get symptons by a new variant but will be fine. Covid is not that deadly comparing with those you said it, the problem is the high rates of transmissibility. We don't get MERS, avian flu, or swine flu vaccines and those were prominent for a year to a few years each very recently. MERS seems to be different than influenza, but looks to be under the coronavirus umbrella. There's a chance Covid will eventually dwindle out of existence or to a point where it's <100 cases worldwide per year. Certainly no time soon.
My grudge is not with the team, but more with our forwards draft picks. Seriously, they have sucked. Kakko looks good but doesn't score. He is like 9th in points per 60 minutes in his draft class. I'm frustated with the rebuild, right now Miller is by far the best on ice "prospect" for us and we have a 1st and 2nd pick overall.BTW, this is me being bipolar, the Rangers HAVE sucked lately, but for a third straight game they showed a lot of fight in trying to come back. I can't remember the last time I saw that. If we pushed last night and lost 2-1, I wouldn't be nearly this positive, but still good to see. They are pretty infuriating right now though. I don't look forward to their games like I did earlier this season.

The best improved forward is Ryan Strome and this pisses me off.
Why are people so perplexed by the idea of letting players play if they have Covid. If they get vaccinated and virus indeed does what viruses do and becomes milder, and as people have been predicting this virus will be endemic they have no choice. Unless you think 20 years from now with a weaker virus with vaccines and likely all sorts of treatments the NHL will be postponing games at an alarming rate. What exactly is the alternative?
This virus is a bit more worrying than the flu or other bugs. Even now with it mutating and becoming less severe. Some studies show up to 80% of those infected have been experiencing long lasting symptoms. Some for over a year still have symptoms. And even those who had mild disease can experience this. So to err on the side of caution and have them sit, I think is warranted.

You are yet another poster who has been on the negative train all season. Everything is spun into a negative. If you are so frustrated by the team that is winning games, I am terrified to know you when you have a team that is losing games. Why watch if when the team wins you are this disgusted with the team. I dont recall you being this bad in the previous two seasons. Team is winning and you still find every reason to be upset. They shouldn't have needed to "find a way to win" against one of the worst assembled teams to ever play this sport. And that's the issue.
Find a way to win against the Avs. If your team needs to find a way to win against the Coyotes, then there are major problems.
There is a theraputic that has shown tremendous benefits in stopping infection, hence stopping the spread. Japan and India lead the world in the fewest cases per million after implementing this therapeutic nationwide. And not long ago both those countries were in dire straits. And they are not alone. There are many other parts of the world that also eliminated the pandemic. The US and other wealthy countries have turned a blind eye to these remarkable results and put all the eggs in the vaccine basket worth billions of dollars in government contracts. So what happens in the NHL, is fairly insignficant compared to what is going on with our government. They could end this tomorrow if they wanted. At that point we should just fold the league. I mean, postpone every possible game till eternity?

I agree, just saying we have bigger fish to fry. Our rights to health and healthcare are under attack as we speak.I'm really not going to go into a whole argument about how vaccines are government conspiracy, not the forum for that.
Panarin signing a UFA contract and analyzing the way the team is playing could not be more apples and oranges, but you know that, right? You are yet another poster who has been on the negative train all season. You were wrong about Panarin coming here period, let alone being a superstar. Maybe you will be wrong about your perception of this season’s team too?![]()
Yep. As I understand it, mutations are generally weaker, or less dangerous, than the original virus because the virus needs the host to live and actually be healthy. Viruses just want a host. They don’t have any other agenda.Covid will never go away, it's a type of an influenza virus. We will probably get a shot of vaccine every year.

He just didn’t seem to be as good as his hype, was very underwhelming ( at least in my opinion). Been watching this team for 60 + years and I have seen many better and worse. Didn’t seem to have his heart in his game.He showed plenty, i don't know why you'd say that.
Guy, its December 16th. DECEMBER 16th. There have been 29 games played. They have a new coach. Their #1 goalie has been out the last two weeks. And yet starting today they are 1st in the Metro. Breathe dude breathe. You’re allowed to have concerns about the team, I certainly have mine, but you take it to another level. You cant just enjoy that they won a game. That is the big problem here. Not even halfway through the season yet. Let’s see where they are in 15 games. If they fall off a cliff then you can have the world is ending type posts. Just dont see that happening under Gallant.Panarin signing a UFA contract and analyzing the way the team is playing could not be more apples and oranges, but you know that, right?
All wins are not created equal. This is not about can this team win against the Coyotes in December, it is about can this team win against the best teams in the league come tournament time in April, and so far their losing record against the better teams in the league suggests that they cannot. If they can't beat these teams in the regular season and if they can't beat them by at least going toe to toe and not relying on the goaltender to win the game by the skin of their teeth (a strategy this team employed to zero success in the Lundqvist era), then they are not beating these teams in a 7 game series. Those are just the facts. The Coyotes don't play in the playoffs. Neither do most of the teams the Rangers have beat this season so far. I understand that Shesterkin is missing, and that hurts. But if they are a TEAM, which is what they should be and they should be more than just one, two players, then they should be able to overcome one player not being there, however important he is. Teams that win games solely on the backs of their goaltenders, like the Rangers did from 2005-2020, don't win championships, because their goaltenders get worn out and if the need to play at that perfectly high level at all times, or else the team doesn't win.
Again, if you are a team that needs to "find a way to win" against a HISTORICALLY BAD HOCKEY TEAM, then your team has problems.
If you are a team that guts out a win against a team like say, the high scoring Stanley Cup contending Avalanche, then you are on to something.
The Rangers are the former in those scenarios.
Winning a game they should win against the Coyotes (especially in the way they did it, which is to say by the skin of their teeth) does not impress me, but I demand more in my life from all things, and don't want to accept mediocrity.
Winning a game convincingly against a team that WILL play in the playoffs impresses me, because it is a much better predicter of future success in the playoffs than winning a game against the, again, HISTORICALLY BAD COYOTES.
I predicted that this was going to happen early in the season, because they were winning but they weren't winning the right way. And now I'm proved right. When they start winning against those teams on a regular basis, I'll be impressed.
