He's still in stunned disbelief the Devils player didn't dissipate into ethereal vapors when he skated right the f*** into him in the neutral zone.

I'm really loathe to accuse guys of substance abuse but thats someone who's like not remotly f***ing home.

I'm throwing a flag.

Every last Russian player is in the uncomfortable position of being cast as a Nazi while the world expects them all to publicly condemn what's going on in the Ukraine but know that if they do it, they are absolutely putting every person they know in Russia in harm's way.

To say they may have other things on their mind is an understatement.

There's a reason nobody is asking them the hard questions. It's a terribly unfair place to be.

To jump to substance abuse allegations when he's statistically putting up a damn good season under these circumstances? Yeah.

I get it, but a good team shouldn't have two great wins and three awful losses in such a short time span. That's not a good ratio.

The Canes just went 0-3-1. Long season, you’re not always going to play your best. Rangers have shown us more than enough to know they are a good team

Meh. Playing a lot of hockey combined with a lot of travel does matter. Tampa is currently going through a rough stretch because of that very same thing.

I mentioned this in the Tyler Motte thread but, while It's really hard for me to say it now after what we just witnessed but in the first half of that game the bottom 6 was revelation. Absolutely dominant. I think that first half was closer to what this team is than the second half.

It's a non-answer from a non-coach. Gallant is a neanderthal and coaches like this is 1997 and not 2022. It's tough to fathom how the Rangers would hire a coach for a second time that put the development of one of the most important draft picks in franchise history in jeopardy.

Nemeth-Braun lived up to the billing. Great to see Gallant go to 9 forwards on the first day of the season that we had 12 actual NHL forwards available to play on the same night

This was kind of my frustration with the deadline deals. We got some decent players but not ones of need. We needed a left d to play with schneider, we got a right d that's not as good as the one we had and now we have Nemeth and Braun in. 2nd need was a top 6 rw, because if it wasn't evident before it should be now, Gallant doesn't trust kids in those spots with the vets. Maybe they just plant Copp there and that solves it, fine. Motte and Vatrano were good adds, i liked both of their speed so far but will they add offense to the bottom 6, they were cheap so no difference there. Why are they riding Nemeth so much? Is this an indication of the stubborness of management to admit a mistake? Why play him, he's obviously not good?

Fair, but I could see Copp being the long-term 2C. I liked his game.

And at this point, we might need to get rid of Strome to save Panarin.
