not gonna overreact, because it is a rare and exceptional situation,

but an exception option would make sense for certain kids,
same way CHL allows occasional kid to ENTER early (Sean Day 8^)
I'd be fine with much more limited than proposed above
- say 1 per NHL team every ~3 seasons

CHL needs to keep players, to survive, and there only a few each season with scenarios akin to Othmann's

I believe Flint could release him, tho they have no incentive to, and then he could be assigned back to Swiss League, among other options

I agree, but just curious how u would envision the exception to work without damaging the chl too badly.
