edit: I should also mention that anyone hung up on former rangers should try watching this current rangers team. They’re currently winning games and might even be a good hockey team
Great now we lose to the Debbies

Also you forgot the three stars - Brandon Smith was one =P
Dunno about ADA, but then again he stars every night! I'll get my coat...

Ehr, but where in the poll is The Screaming Woman?? You misogynists (spelled it right thanks to the spellcheck)!

Had to pick Kakko)) He popped up so much in the GDT he must've done something good (that I've apparently missed))))!

I've figured it out: Gallant is a devil worshiper and he has sold Kakko's puck luck, Laf's ice time and both of their production to the devil in return for a winning record.

At this point, I'm not sure what else it can be.

What Panarin said about his game before this one was exactly what I’d been thinking. He gets his points but he’s too comfortable curling when he comes in and looking for the pass. His shot is insane and he’s great at getting into those soft areas in the d - so happy to see he did it and it worked.

Trouba had his best game in a long time. Nice to see.

Fourth line as a whole was incredibly effective. All 3 of them were excellent. Reeves could have had 2 goals.

Another zero game from Kakko and Lafreniere. The hope is getting drained from my soul.

Mika apparently sucks? Couldn’t tell by his PPG pace. I guess he’ll be challenging The Great One’s single season mark once he gets it going.

Anyhoo, I’m really hoping GG sees the light and flips Blais/Kakko. Point-producers really don’t need to be riding bitch on the Bread n’ Butter Loveboat line.

Kakko should be producing points. I really don’t think he’s been all that bad but he’s pressing on that line to make pretty things happen. I think Blais has shown he’s much better stickhandling in tight. Kakko working the boards might be able to open some things up for Mika. Plus Kakko has a bit of a nose for the net so him and Kreider can meet up there and have a hug. Team bonding is important.

I'd like to see a rotation of Nils, Jones, and Schneider--~10-15 game stretches with the club and a homework assignment when they get rotated back to Hartford--until one of them grabs that spot as their own

Once Schneider comes up here that kid IS NOT going back!

Kreider Zibs Kakko
Panarin Strome Blais
Laf Goodrow Chytil

I just can't picture them sitting Laf. Gauthier had impact though. He deserves to play

Honestly, i'd put Goat in over Reaves. He is the least effective on that 4th line and Goat has been throwing his body and forechecking hard since coming back in the lineup. And on top of that, he can actually skate. Never gonna happen though unfortunately.

I like Reaves' attitude and what I guess he brings to the lockerroom (?), but sometimes I think i'm taking crazy pills when I read about how many people on here absolutely love the guy. He does not look very effective out there to me. Can't skate, plays the puck like a handgrenade and when he gets a tap in in front of the net, he can't finish. Hunt and Rooney really drive that line.

We are a better team when Gauthier plays, I'd really like him to stick to that 3RW spot for some extended games.

It's nice to win a game without Igor stealing it.

8-3-3.

They win tomorrow and its 9-3-3. Pretty damn good start, all things considered, especially with how many self-hating Rangers fans we have who think this team is just the worst.

You keep winning and collecting points early while the team finds itself under a new coach.
Very valuable points as well....they are twice as hard to garnish in February and March . Some of them are not pretty but they count . It will come under Gallant eventually and the wins will be prettier . I think once we see a couple of good scraps from the new guys this team will bond and be tighter /more cohesive and with possibly an addition/subtraction to tweak as well and we still have some unused Cap to use to add albeit a temp thing . It would /will be a bonus if KK and Laf can pot a few .

If only the Rangers had acquired Ryan Reaves.
Great game from him last night.....solid 4th line player for us at 5on 5 . I am surprised how good a player he actually is....the other club is well aware he is on the ice and he finishes checks hard. I will be surprised if he fights more than 3 times all year...Johnson -Wilson and likely a Devil player tomorrow .

I thought he was pushed in by our D....but that's just me....somebody explained it well in another reply on these goalie brushes . If somebody starts throwing randomly on a guy who was pushed in...suspensions will follow especially on a guy like Reaves . He has to pick his spots unfortunately .

But that's exactly it. It's blah. He's done nothing impressive. Like, ever.

I would rather he be actively bad but clearly oozing talent.

I don't think the AHL could hurt at this point.
Agree. I've been saying this for weeks. He CLEARLY is invisible (see what I did there).

He's just "on the ice"

He watches a lot, waits for the puck a lot... hopes a lot and looks generally "deer in the headlights" confused.

Send him down now... give him a few weeks / month and see what happens.

Folks will say I am overreacting, but I am very, VERY concerned at this point.

This team would be a lot better with Buch and Blackwell over LaF and Kakko. Blackwell fit in so nice with Bread and Butter, and they preferred to play with him. He scored .5 PPG with them. Most of the time it doesn’t even feel like Kakko is on that line they don’t even utilize him. And Blais with Mika and Kreider doesn’t really work, that line is invisible at even strength. KZBuch had great chemistry and I understand that Buch was traded to make room for Kakko and LaF to get top 6 roles but at this point I’m getting tired of hearing their names

I elect myself as general secretary of the dryden hunt fan club.

he's just an outrageously good forechecker. i dont understand how the 4th line is basically always on the attack no matter who they are against.
Hunt is a beast. His skating is lowkey elite, not the fastest but his edgework and the way he works behind the net is reminiscent of Crosby
