Do you guys not remember Boyle scored the first goal? Then he took a penalty. if I'm not mistaken, this is a team game. Where was the rest of the team in killing that penalty or getting another goal.

Absolutely is not Boyle's fault. Bad penalty to take, but this is a team effort, or lack thereof.

No one person lost this game.
 
Lundy slammed his stick after the game like "Can you guys help me out a bit"...lol
 
We need Nash to show up seriously to win this series...He popped up in OT and before that he wasnt around.

Seriously we need to get Clowe back or Staal. Forget Pyatt, and someone please tell mike Sullivan to stay home.

This feels like its going 7 games...We can win at Washington, we just need to sustain that flow of a high place for a longer duration
 
I knew they were going to lose.

Can they just surprise me once?

Hank made 4 or so awesome saves in OT and we cant rally for a stinking goal.
 
Lundqvist amazing as per usual. Holtby wasn't really challenged aside from a few plays in the 1st.

Hagelin, Zuccs and Brassard played great imo.
Nash really needs to step up....like next game, or there might NOT be a game 7.

Post game interview he looked dead. Completely red.

Talked about how he made failed to clear the puck in OT before the goal, and could barley talk. Sounded and looked like he just saw his parents get killed.
 
Also, why the **** does everyone think Rick Nash is hurt? Where did he get hurt? He looked like **** before he banged his knee. Everyone plays banged up thats no ****ing excuse. He has a grand total of ZERO goals this series. Even a torn labrum Gaborik did better. A torn labrum is a lot more painful and debilitating than a ****ing bruised knee.

They largely don't mesh because Del Zotto is really bad on the point in general. He's not good at skating the puck in the zone (or at least he is worse than both McDonagh and Moore), he has an awful shot (no accuracy), and he is too slow with his decision making. He is constantly receiving the pass, then waiting a second or two, and then acting instead of instantly feeding it to someone else or shooting.
 
lol It's not like Boyle went out today and just went Paul Bunyan on everyone giving the Caps 7 PP's. He had a single dumb penalty and they scored ONE goal. ONE! If a tie score of 1 to ****ing 1 is all it takes to deflate this team until OT, well then **** me. We deserve the loss.
 
Hank leads league in playoff Goals Vs. Threshold. Put him on a fringe team like the Isles that can score and he wins cup.

I think he is, but I think his play is going to get him a compliance buyout, Stepan has taken over as the #1 center. It is time to play the kids, play miller and kreider and maybe even hrivik and/or bourque. It is going to be exciting next year to see how training camp goes. I am not throwing in the towel on this season, just excited for young guys coming in next season! This is a well assembled organization, drafted well lately. It is going to be exciting. But i'm getting ahead of myself...Bring on game 6, 1 period at a time, 1 shift at a time....Rangers will win! :yo:

It has been like this for years
We will win game 6 and go back to crapitol center or what eve they call it and put up a fight.
Though I always have in the back of my mind is the curse, 1 cup in 73 years.
2 over times in Washington tell me we can win in the 7 th game
You only have to win 1 on the road
I thought Nash would show up for this one,but he was invisible again and where is Callahan ?

One more thing, why does holtby only play good against the rangers

The Rangers have lost all three road games thus far and had, literally, maybe five or six good scoring chances in those games. They've scored twice. They are something like 0-for-12 on the PP. They have given up a PP goal in each of their away games.

Have you seen anything from this team that indicates they'll be able to win a game on the road? I certainly haven't. And I'm generally one of the more positive people here — I'm just being realistic, at this point. This team doesn't forecheck on the road. They sit back, lose every puck battle, and in general play sloppy, uninspired hockey.

Bring last year's team back, at least I knew that team was always going balls-to-the-wall. This team seems so fragile.

Of course you can. :) I'm just surprised to see that bridge-jumping post coming from you. That statement that game 6 doesn't matter is ridiculous.

Yep, you are right, their overall play on the road has been horrendous. But with that horrendous play, they've been in OT for two out of those three. It's one bounce one way or the other in those games. We didn't get one in either of them. To say game 6 doesn't matter because we lost all 3 games on the road is a bit silly.

Where the hell was the ref to call that diving piece of **** Ribeiro, even? My goodness. If they are going to call Boyle for that weak ass slash, they need to call Ribs for pretending he got ****ing shot. Disgraceful punk.

Rangers go to overtime in the playoffs? They lose. Just like EVERY. OTHER. YEAR.
