Joey Mich is stressing the importance of the OT faceoff while I'm here praying we lose it. When will people learn OT goals are scored on counter attacks. #Flawbalance

10 games into this new season. Some concerns, as expected. Some positives too. Second long road trip in just a few days.

3/4 points thus far this road trip. That’s what’s important. 2 more to go before heading home and then our schedule is pretty friendly until December.

Ok Einstein what lines besides the 4th are clicking rn. This whole offense is putrid their shots on goal are consistently in the low 20s. This is just as much on our Hart caliber playing nowhere near his best and the center we just gave a large extension to then laf and kakko. Nothing is working rn outside of special teams Igor and Fox, maybe Kreider
Again, if LaF and Kakko actually lived up their draft position we’d be in a better position. LaF was touted as an Eichel/Matthews level prospect. Every scout said the same. Kakko was touted as a Laine level prospect. He was actually supposed to be better than Laine. Imagine adding AM34/Eichel and Laine to this team right now? Certainly they’d be scoring more. But both have disappointed far beyond imagination.

Who are you and what have you done with Kupo?

True, but it’s more than what you’re seeing at face value. Something is rotten under the hood pal, and not just them. It’s almost statistically impossible for all of our draft picks to bust. Anderson, Krav, Kakko, laf, Chytil? Fool me once, fine, fool me twice? When the apples go rotten, look at the tree. I know you’re upset at them, but there’s more to it here.
Sure there’s more to it. But I still blame them for not stepping up past it. All 5 of them are weak minded players that can’t step up.

I think this goes back to what I said earlier, we had one foot in and one foot out on this rebuild. Not enough time for your gifts to start bearing fruit. Now it’s plug and play, and it’s showing.

Panarin craps points. It makes things worse because it masks all the careless plays and nonchalant mistakes. He's played entirely perimeter. Nothing inside the dots.

When Kakko has the puck on the right side in the offensive, where is Panarin -yeah standing in his "office" in the offensive zone, high up on the left side on the other side of two or three opponents. Kakko needs to play on a line that cycles and engages physically. Strome and Panarin ain't it. It's a TEAM game, not a one man show where the big cheese does whatever.

i started stopping at building towers like chocolate bars before games to eating when kakko scoring points to scoreboards jumbotrones but got a tired long time ago when no points to be setted up was, like never. this was already from first season of him. and second. now 3rd season a going on and no points to table even after thay say and evidense a putted up for that he at summer hevily musselated.

i dont know.....youngsters today, thin and musselated, perverts and "normals"...they like playing ATARI/video games and stuff all day night long, and eating ENERGIZING drinks at lunch and cholate bars at night so. all this while in some small apartment alone in dark

i dont know, future ...dark dark

The whole offense has disappointed to start the season, to literally just continue to harp on these two is silly. If/When the others start getting it going and Laf and Kakko still look out of place then it becomes a bigger issue. Noone is doing anything rn which is becomes apparent when Laf's 3 goals are the most scored by all of our players at 5v5

So all the kids we drafted suck? Yea I ain’t buying that. When all the apples go rotten, it’s time to look at the tree. 1 cup in 80 years, what makes you think we know how to develop star forwards? Who was the last one we developed? Arrogance is what this organization preaches. The statistical odds of all these kids being a bust as a result of nature rather than nurture seems slim to none.

Admittedly, this is where my thoughts have been trending. It’s worrisome. Fox is a different breed. He bet on himself. Stayed in school, knew he wanted to be here, has been a stud since day 1. We didn’t really develop him. He showed up, said “Hi, I’m you’re new favorite player” and we’ve essentially been worshipping him with more and more fervor every day since. Lindgren we also didn’t really develop, but he’s also just a different breed - that Dan Girardi, I eat pucks for breakfast and I like to bleed type of crazy. We didn’t draft either one of them.

Of the players we did draft… Lias, Chytil, Kravtsov, Miller, Lundkvist, Kakko, Lafreniere… KAM is the most successful, I guess? And it’s partially been gifted to him. His tremendous athletic gifts allow him to do some really great things but we haven’t necessarily seen much development or progress from him. I admit he’s been pretty decent this year, but he still has his really bad moments. Lundkvist is far from being a big concern or anything, but for the amount of “best D prospect outside of NA” hype he got, he’s been underwhelming. #7OA total bust. #9OA head case half way out the door. #2OA zero points so far in year 3. #1OA is statistically the weakest first overall pick since 1999. Chytil has played parts of 5 seasons now, just under 200 games, and if anything he’s regressing. Certainly stagnant. There is, at least, a valid reason to be concerned with our drafting/development, especially at forward.

Obviously we’re blessed with goaltending assessment.

Panarin - Mika - Kreider everything else blow up. We need to get Strome away from Panarin so he can hopefully realize he's playing the center position once again. I really wish we were able to see that Panarin - Chytil - Kakko line more but unfortunately Kakko got injured so early into that line being together. Chytil and Kakko will fight hard on the boards and Panarin can do whatever he wants to do.

For now I at least hope GG moves Kakko off that Panarin line. Please, at least give me that one.

Yup, these are my readers.

Has anyone checked Laf and Kakko’s room for a scalextric set….?

Actually scratch that, we wouldn’t be having this dialogue if they played with half the balls of the Hanson’s….

Laf, Kakko & Lundkvist to AHL

Total overreactions as usual. 6-2-2 after 10 games with 7 of them on the road is still pretty damn good with them still not playing well. 82 game marathon which escapes so many. I'll say it again. This team will play better as the season progresses and I will give it 20 games to say anything about any player or the coach. I would like to see the lines tweaked though and this team could really use Kravtsov right now.

Kreider-Zibs-Kakko
Panarin-Strome-Goodrow
Laf-Cytil-Blais
Hunt-Rooney-Reaves(when he returns)

Uh...this game was a mess because the Rangers spent roughly half of it in the box. Makes it kind of hard to judge Kakko and Fil the way they are being judged here. But Laf...

I noticed Laf on exactly one play tonight. Right before the Vancouver goal Laf had a chance to get the puck out of the zone. Puck on his stick and time. Looked confident. And all he managed was what I guess was a clearance attempt...at muffin velocity...and an angle that makes me question his actual vision.

At this point, I would send that boy to the AHL to figure out how not to do things like that...because they lose games.

Kreider Zib Blais
Panaran Strome Hunt
Goodrow Chytil Kakko
Reaves Rooney Gaut

Oh and bring up Jones. We need a second guy on the pp and another D that can play 3-3.
