Word

I had to see that goal 5 times to see what he did there on the poor Springfield dman. Talk about pulling the string.

I think McAvoy is a little brain damaged, really. Hasn’t he had a ton of concussions? He knees a guy and has zero remorse. Like ‘your career is less important than my butt-hurt’. Glad Rooney is ok but refs absolutely call the score and result. Not that anyone’s surprised but you’d think that maybe they’d be moved by a dangerous play like that. That was almost Ulf Samuelsson level. He didn’t quite have his full weight on Rooney’s knee though.
He knew exactly what he did, there was a replay from across the ice where you can see as soon as he does it he kind of turns to look away from the ref but then gives the side-eye to see if he was getting a call and then Goodrow comes in and pops him

The sick part is the league/refs have no interest in squashing it.

Bruins fans getting on Swayman, but other than the best rebound, which one of those goals was on him? I felt like that was the type of bad game you see from top goalies. Gave up a moderate amount of goals (4), with a lot of side to side action. Wasn't a good game, but I'm surprised how down Bruins fans are on him.
He was terrific. Saved at least two yawning cage goals with heroic recoveries. Rangers had a ton of Grade A chances.

Whats interesting is mcavoy is still one of the best defenseman at even strength and fox went head to head with him, comin out with two assists. The only player fox is currently battling for the norris is ekblad imo and even then, fox is one behind for the team lead on a team with a way worse goal differential, which is basically me saying fox is generational.

I was unable to catch the 3rd unfortunately. 1) Why did Panarin throw his glove at the rat? 2) Please tell me that the ESPN announcers were devastated by the Rangers winning.

Announcers were brutal, I laughed out loud when they complimented Swayman on the save he made before he kicked the rebound directly onto Hunt’s stick. Also completely ignored how dirty the knee on knee McAvoy hit was. Idk what I expected though, the Bruins ass kissing on national TV has been blatant for years

Soon enough Gauthier is gonna bury some of those rushes he makes down the right side of the ice. I'm just glad he's improving his overall game and getting a legit chance.

Did you catch them flash the Boston "GOAL" graphic on the Trouba ENG?
Yeah. My son actually caught it. Then they actually put a third goal on the tv scoreboard for Boston. They wound it back immediately but the broadcast were clearly hanging for a Boston goal.

Regarding the broadcast even before the game started they were like "the Bruins won 4 out of 5 and the Rangers are hot all of a sudden and won 6 of 7". You'd think the Rangers were some shitty team before that and is surprising everyone with a fluky run of 7 games.

If you couldn’t see the bias on full display today, it’s not even with the debate.
Yep. It’s not that the announcers prefer one team or another. It’s that there’s a narrative that the Bruins are a juggernaut and the rangers are lolrangers. It’s annoying and ignorant, considering the rangers are actually on the upswing and the bruins are fading. It’s pandering or at least catering to a lcd fan instead of sharing insight.

Another thing with these shot based stats are that they are quiet subjective. Hank commented on it a few times over the years, many teams have homers counting the shots but at MSG they are conservative.

I kept an eye on that shot stats and counted 3 shots Boston had early that were blocked while we were counted low.
Totally. Even the broadcast mentioned it in the first.

As I said in my post they weren't hiding this even before the game started. "The Rangers are hot all of a sudden". They started the season 6-2-1...

Honestly they sounded like the analysts before the Giants-Bucs game talking about the Giants winning 2 out of 3. In their situation it's warranted but with the Rangers it's condescending. The Rangers haven't been good the last 3 seasons, but it's not like they were a bottom feeder either and the Rangers went into this game with the much better record.

Yeah, I definitely don’t think a game like this from Ziba should be questioned in any way shape or form, if so, the one doing the questioning have way to big expectations.
Yeah. He was flying today. He’s sloppy or something. But he’s getting into good spots. He’s like a knife cutting in and out and covering tons of space. But the precision is missing.

Easy to get on Mika but he hit a post and was absolutely robbed by Swayman. Also had 2-3 net front chances. The goals will come, we just need to be patient. I thought that whole line was good today, Kakko was a monster despite his point streak ending

Do you guys think we need to upgrade from Hunt? I feel like he's a major hole on our roster. He's playing Fast's role but I don't think he has Fast's shot or offense in general.

Probably will need to upgrade from him at some point, but this is a weird comment to make after Hunt’s best game of the season

The league constantly shows that the players are expendable...
Yep. And it’s so counter-productive. Does the league think fans pay to see the worlds most skilled players play beautiful hockey or see guys get long term serious brain and knee injuries?

I’m really not sure what the answer is!
