Announcers were brutal, I laughed out loud when they complimented Swayman on the save he made before he kicked the rebound directly onto Hunt’s stick. Also completely ignored how dirty the knee on knee McAvoy hit was. Idk what I expected though, the Bruins ass kissing on national TV has been blatant for years

I caught that too. It was a GREAT save…but actually it was a good stop and an AWFUL rebound… but I guess the fans just want hyperbolic thrills and excitement, eh.

So many good things from this team today.

• Solid team play with an emphasis on finishing checks
• Lindgren was outstanding
• Miller was outstanding
• Very good game from Kakko
• Lafreniere looked great. He loves to take the body which is huge for this team. Great finish and you could sense it was coming
• Chytil is a demon on skates out there, he may be the fastest skater on the team soon.
• Are we seeing Goat finally figuring it out? Wow
• The Strome goal was absolute filth and clinic on puck support and making smart plays to keep possession.
• Rooney, Goodrow & Reaves is not only the best 4th line the Rangers have had in a decade but it’s probably the best in the league right now.
• Love the fire from Panarin
• This team has swagger
• Igor is a sensory delight
• When a guy like Hunt can stick with it on the top line, it makes your team deeper and Gallant understands that

I brought it up on the trade board but a small trade with Vancouver of Hajek for Chiasson could make sense for the Rangers. Chiasson is a legit RW who has had success playing with talent players. Even on the dumpster fire of the Canucks this year, he has very good possession numbers. UFA after this year too. Vancouver is very light on LD and a Hajek would make a lot of sense for them.

They get this "winning because of Shesterkin" narrative from the Rangers own fans and local nyc media. It's what they read and hear, so not really knowing the team they run with it.

Same thing happened with Lunquist, and it's not so much that "our folks" were/are complimenting the goalie as it is/was them putting the rest of the team down.

They don't like the gm, or the "asset management", or think the rangers should tank for a mythical crosby...so they make an excuse for the winning by saying it's just the great goalie. It's shitty...and the lazy national hockey media accepts it and furthers the bullshit.

You’ll be blacked out of every non-national Ranger game. But give NordVPN a try if you are set on cutting the cord. I think it’s about $5 a month or less depending on your payment plan, and you’ll be able to watch every game.

As frustrating as the Rangers can be at times trying to find the perfect play, it's still better than shooting from bad angles into the Dman's skates or the goalie's crest or glove. There are a lot of teams that think that constitutes offense. And I've got no problem with it when the team is in a bad funk and you're trying to simplify, but if that's your only O zone strategy, then unless you've got at least a couple of good dmen and at least two Kreider lites in front of the net, it's just not going to cut it in a long season.

A quarter of the season in, we're at a 119 point pace while playing 13/20 on the road, have the Norris front runner and a Vezina contender, have depth and toughness, and our play is trending more towards our record than our record is trending towards our play.

Lots to be excited by.

If people just read The bold and don't really think about it they're missing out on something. I say that's pretty profound. And couldn't be more of the truth. In essence, guess what you're saying is that this team really isn't playing very well, and seems to have another level or two that it could reach. That is amazing, and we might be in for very very wonderful ride.

Favorite part of this team is their third period competence vs last year. Better coach better situational play (Goodrow) and maturation of young kids like miller

Surely the maturation is a great part of that (Chytil,Gautier,even Laf), but make no mistake its the Hunts, Reaves and Rooneys that are making a difference. What did our 4th line do last year, the past 5 years? Who were they? Lol

Games get blocked out. I have ESPN+ for the Anaheim games and to watch the Rangers when I’m traveling, but I usually use MSGGO app. Anytime the Ducks play the Devils, Rangers, or Islanders have to watch the MSG broadcasts. Could use a VPN to hide your location but not sure how that works.
