Got hit by a shot by Hunter Skinner.
Stayed on the bench for the rest of the game but didn't take another shift.
they bust their hoops for the team every shift, typically can pk, do and say all the right things off ice. spend enough time around a group easy to see why sometimes youd rather the guy you know you can trust and know what they put into it over the more inconsistent and less dependable more talented guy, esp if they dont handle not getting things they want the right way.
obviously thats kinda generic and every situation is contextual based on deployment and who might be playing over who etc...but i totally get why coaches tend to have a guy or 2 that they see as valuable for what they bring in ways fans cant always see. also tend to be absolutely beloved in the room and glue guys...that can be a big part of giving teams that locker room magic trophy teams tend to come together around

Fancy dangle and no finish. That is Kravtsov.
Vesey and Jones should be on this roster. Hunt, Hajek and Gauthier have had their shot and failed. Wouldn't hate Hajek being the 7th D. Hunt and Gauthier can get their shit together in Hartford. Role with a 22 man roster. Carpenter vs Rydahl is probably not a big deal, whatever. Othmann looked pretty good as well but Blais/Kravstov are c_blocking him.

It’s crazy to me that people think Vesey has been good.
He has been spoon fed opportunity mostly with NHL regulars.
He still forces dumb shot after dumb shot from the side of the net. Limited vision. Limited forecheck ability. Classic case of a guy who buzzes around a lot so people think he looks good yet rarely creates anything actually of value with the puck.

Only watched the first half of the first period - traveling a lot this week so I'm not able to watch.
But did Gauthier look even faster than previous seasons? Dude was flying in the 2-3 shifts I saw him. I know he can't finish.... but man... if he ever put it together someday :-/

By the way Bobby trevigno will never play in the show. May a gift of a handful of games here and there but there’s zero chance he ever becomes an nhler. He looks like zucc out there minus any of the talent whatsoever. Max effort guy for sure but there’s no way
