Does the GM have any input?

Or does Drury just offer them a pizza depending on the gravity of the injury?

As I have mentioned before, to me this is a strong indication that Lavvy does not like Jones.

In retrospect, might have been useful to have Schneider get more experience in a top-4 role and get Ruhwedel some more reps, but who knows what goes on behind closed doors. Just a lot of speculation.

I’d assume it’s more a Laviolette/physio decision.

He was drafted 2nd overall. He played in big roles before his draft. He scored plenty of goals. Of course he wants that. But he has also been pretty upfront that he hasn't done enough, he has been disappointed in his own game etc. And at times when he has thought he has played good, he has always said "it doesn't matter how good it looks if you don't produce".

I think it's best for both parties if they move him, but frankly nothing will be solved unless this organization makes a decision to separate Kreider and Zibanejad instead of trying to find that RW that lifts their game. They have tried plenty already. And not once have they thought about separating them.

I agree on Kakko. I think he’s a good kid who is lost. But I’m a Rangers fan first, and he hasn’t done even close to enough to warrant another chance. Rangers need to think about getting over the hump and soon. Also strong agree on Mika/Kreider but would also be content with adding a legit top 6 player. Not Vatrano or Roslovic types

Rangers didn’t seem inclined to use 8 mil in LTIR space either. I think they wanted to keep the prime assets
 
Very impressed with Rempes exit interview. Seems ready to put in the work and knows he is far from a finished product. If he can become a decent fighter and stronger on his skates, he could be a real weapon. Also mentioned he used to play center and wants to be able to fill that role again.

I think he is underestimated as a side show by alot of fans but I think he can be an important piece moving forward.

He is a sideshow right now. Not saying he can’t be something going forward

But I’m not aware of any other player in the league having arenas chant his name and he ends up playing 2 mins a game lol

I didn't learn much of anything outside of the injuries from today's interviews. And I guess in that they were a success, because these guys are gonna be nothing if not circumspect.

However one thing that stood out to me was the degree of....enthusiasm over next season expressed by some of the younger players (Rempe, Cuylle, Fox, Laf; hell, even Gustafson and Wennberg) as opposed to absolute funeral approach taken by guys like Mika and Kreider. Talk about a stark contrast.

Zibs seemed almost a bit too......lax in his response and it would have red flagged if weren't his consistent style. Kreider, every time I see the guy in an interview setting I become less and less convinced that he's not a lesser version of Patrick Bateman.

Can anyone please summarize what we learned about certain players playing with injuries?

And I understand there's value in keeping the puck out of your own end, but the xGF models don't adequately reflect how hopeless he is at generating offense.

Is he still a "plus" player? Absolutely, but his value is that of a bottom-6 shutdown winger. If another team values him as something more, you take what they're offering and run.

Who is the shutting down? He has no speed and doesn’t even play on the penalty kill. I’m so tired of the narrative about his defense. I’m not impressed by it.

I think this disqualifies me from ever complaining about another team playing cheeky with the LTIR stuff. Golden opportunity here and they didn't take it lol.

If Nick Kucherov had diarrhea at the TDL the lightning would've slapped him with the LTIR and buried him under the Earth until late April.
