I dislike Kakko the player but he seems like a nice kid. I think it benefits both parties to send him somewhere else. We need a big upgrade at top6 RW and a 3rd line RW who provides the same impact as Kakko is not hard to find. I know he was the 2nd overall pick, but it wasnt Drury's pick.
Rangers have to accept what he is instead of trying to push him to what he may never become. Can fans accept him as a 3rd line RW'er? Can the organization?
I just don't see him getting much more opportunities here, for him to even try and reach his potential. He did have some opportunity but it never lasted because of his play. He needs new scenery if he is ever going to try and reach that potential, whatever it is.
Kakko was the consensus 2ndOA so can't even fault the drafting decisions on that one.
