The teams success is 100% a mirage this year

I don't think its the result that defies the expectation....its the effort and the hoping to look for improvement. Even though they are playing the Cup champs, they aren't exactly making life tough for the Blues.

My Dog is 12 years old. He's a good dog. I love him. But I noticed recently that he can't jump anymore. He tries to get up on my bed and he crashes back down to the ground. Now he just lays on the rug at the foot of the bed. I feel bad for him but it hurts me to see him keep trying to jump up when he knows he can't make it.

Henrik may be the best player this franchise has ever had. But he can't jump up on the bed anymore.

I don't know if it's all him, or the way the team responds to him. In the end it doesn't matter. For the first time in 15 years, this team has a better chance to win when #30 isn't playing.

It doesn't mean we don't love him anymore.

Quinn may or may not be the right guy but you can't know that from this roster its too young with too many holes in it.

This roster even though young and may not set the world on fire, are talented enough to play in a structured system IMO

I can't believe some of you guys expect our goalies to stand on their f***ing head every single night because our forwards make terrible plays that result in turnovers, while our defense is literally the absolute worst.

You're asking too much from our goalies and if this is the case, Igor is going to become Hank 2.0.

I'm not screaming, just trying to figure out the right steps to get from where this team is right now to one that wins a lot of hockey games. The hope was that even if we didn't make the playoffs, the club would be at least measurably better this year than last.

The defense needs go get much, much better and it's still somewhat unclear to me what I should be blaming on youth, what I should be blaming on the system, and what I should be blaming on players who just aren't good enough to play the roles that they are in.

That's before we even start talking about the team's forward depth moving into next year.

He has made some very good saves this game. The D just holds the puck too long, which you're not going to get away with against good teams. The forwards also have to hustle back to stop the transition.

Fogarty being in tonight for Haley wouldn't change the score I don't think. Rangers are getting schooled---both the Zibanejad and Panarin lines aren't doing a lot. Defensively we're getting shredded--the DeAngelo/Hajek pairing especially. Henrik's made some big saves but overall it's not been a great game for him either. Sticking this loss on Haley for Fogarty seems absurd to me.

Two guys look good in this game for us--Fox and Chytil.

What kills me is that Quinn tries to teach lessons to young guys (like Kakko) by stapling them to the bench when they make mistakes, yet roll out guys like Haley and Staal (who have been absolutely brutal) game after game despite all their flaws.

Yea hilarious...it is hilarious watching that clown try and play hockey. There is absolutely no reason that bum should be in the lineup. He was playing like garbage leading up to the 4th Blues goal and then finally capped it off with his terrible handling of the puck and incompetence.

This fan base no longer possess the ability to judge goalies fairly after 10 years of Lundqvist prime. Goalies look worse than their play when the team plays shit through the neutral zone and defensive zone and does next to nothing to make the play easier for the goalie to read and track. This is just what happens but we just go straight to critiquing the goalie. The same .910 as the NHL average but our goalie is cooked and toast and no longer NHL capable.
