Yeah... we were awfully lucky to get the two points. They deserved that in regulation. I 100% agree with the Islander fans. Only the most optimistic Ranger fans who don't want to see the facts would see that we didn't have insane luck to win this.

Isles forwards were playing like it was a Stanley cup game, our forwards, not quite. Lundy was due for a shutout too.

Unfortunately missed the game tonight. How was it? So glad Hank got his shutout.

It was a very intense game, I thought the Isles forwards pressured harder than ours but Hank played very well. Got lucky with the Isles hitting some posts but we also hit a post and had a open net shot blocked by a Isle's defensemen. It was a great back and forth game to watch. Wahhhhh we won a game.

I'm not sure I see this as a "lucky" win. When you have $7MM invested in the best goaltender in hockey, you are going to win some games exactly this way. The Islanders may have been a shade better than the Rangers but the ice sure wasn't tilted.

And yet... not much got through in reality. 21 blocked shots...

I'd perfer to have 21 of OUR shots blocked and not get bent the way we get bent regularly.

I hate that we get pinned like tonight. That's not good and better teams would have killed us.

There's no positives to take away from tonight other than 2 points. How you can see diffenent is beyond me.

so this is the broadway hat from last year, it was found around the time zucc's came back...coincidence? I think not!

Good win, but it was pretty sloppy game. Would have been better to get the win in regulation, but ill take the two points!!!

don't blame him at all for that, he went deep 2 mins earlier on a similar play and the isles got a good chance on the transition.

And tbh 9 out of 10 he would have missed that shot leading to Isles odd man rush :help:

Also way to troll Hank out of the Broadway hat

We went on the road against the hottest team in the league and walked out with 2 points we really needed. No issue here.

Islander fans on NYR board so angry. Leeeaaaave. Anyway, We should have played much better. Too lax and such but Hank shows why he's god.

This is the first time since the trades went down that the Rangers didn't play well, save for the defensive effort against Carolina. They happened to be playing the hottest team in the NHL on the road. Oh, and they won.

Give the first star to the King, take the two points, and quietly get on the train and get ready for Philly. Fortunately, I think the Flyers have checked out... I'm not too sure that they are as desperate to play spoiler as the Devils will be.

ImIdaho, PM me and I'll gladly accept my punishment. Not the win I wanted but 2 points. Doesn't get any easier.

How about the shutout? Because, had we not blocked all those shots, it wouldn't have happened.

Not saying the game was perfect or even great. We played against a hot team in their own building (despite the presence of the Rangers fans) and held them to no goals. It was a whatever it takes type of game. Maybe I feel differently about this game had it been played at MSG.

The Rangers looked sloppy with the puck. There's no doubt about it. But it was still a gutsy game and they pulled it out.

Nah, too ecstatic. Played like ****, still got the W, and Islander fans are crying. Doesn't get any better than that.
